Investigate with other plastic surgeons in the Atlanta area. I think you will find that there are many good doctors out there that will do the procedures for around the same price if not lower. You are paying for "a secret procedure" which is supposedly perfected. My LSL was almost $7000 for eyes neck and mini lift. My eyes are not the same, the cuts are not in the crease and the fat above my left eye is different than my right eye. The paragraph in the contract material that they will redo anything that you are not pleased with is a LIE. My surgery was on 12-5-07 and I am still healing behind my ears. My eyes are very RED and noticeable. It will cost me as much to have my eyes fixed by a plastic surgeon as it originally cost for the surgery. I began complaining from the 2nd week on and they do not stand behind the doctors nor their mission statement. They care much before surgery and very little afterwards. I also want to point out that they use doctors on a "freelance basis" and my doctor NO longer works with LSL in Marietta Ga. I believe that I was mislead in a major way! The recovery time is the same as regular surgery. The only reason that they say recovery is quicker is that you are not put to sleep. You can do the same thing at a plastic surgeons. Good luck to you if you decide to use these people. I have found many good doctors after the fact... doctors that just shake their head when they see my eyes.

I have to add an addendum to this: After I was told by Sara that works at the main LSL office in Troy, MI that Dr. KK no longer works for the LSL office in Marietta, GA, well guess what? They must have rehired him. He is right back up there on the Bio page so he must be back at the Marietta Office (and running his own office in Duluth, Ga).

I had a lifestyle lift in Atlanta paid almost 7000.00 Dr.Whitaker.And after the surgery checked around and found that you can get a face lift the same price with other MDs.The major reason I went there is because they act like you will be back to work the next day. Well I looked like a train ran over my face. Out of work 3 weeks. My sister was horrified when she saw me a week later. I am a RN and thought I had checked this out. I had the surgery 3 months ago a few days before she went on maternity leave. I let them have it when I went back in and told them that my face needs correcting. Told them that I would have never had my face done by her if I had known she would be leaving not available for follow up care if needed. That brings me to follow up care. I have come to a conclusion that they will not do follow up care. They take your money and if you have to come in they do nothing, no additional medications nothing. As suspected they put me in with another doctor, who did absolutely nothing told me to come back in several months?? Trying to get rid of me. To this date I have stinging and burnning in my face and two large knots which are visable. They want you to go away and they do not want to do follow up care. I am now treating with another physician, who is giving me ultrasound treatments and trying to fix this mess. I also discovered that they do not take notes during the surgery. Nothing. I am not sure how the utilization review organization of Ga are letting these people get away without taking notes in the surgery. (procedure notes). As a RN I have never in my life heard of this. No documentation in surgery? I am going back into see Dr. Whitaker in Sept when she comes back to give her a piece of my mind. If this keeps anyone out there from using them, I hope this works. BEWARE

Hi Cathy,

It's up to you; just thought I'd offer. Reviews are much more accessible. People who may not read every comment on every thread do tend to look at the reviews in deciding whether LSL is "worth it".

Please read the comments If you do this in Atlanta you will be making a big mistake. You do not see the physician until the day of the procedure. They do not keep medical notes of the procedure which is quite odd. And forget about follow up care. They provide very little if at all. There is a Dr. Lawrence Gross in Stockbridge and Peachtree City. As a RN I sent a patient to him for a cheek implant. He is patient detailed and very good. Also just so you know the Lifestyle Lifts prices are the same as regular plastic surgeons. The Lifestyle lift physicians are not board certified in plastic surgery. They are ENT specialists. I had mine done in Atlanta, no follow up shooed me away after I paid them 7000.00.This was before I knew all of this. And yes went on line and they make statements that lead you to believe that they are board certified in plastic surgery but they are not. I also wanted little down time. I have still not recovered. My sister was so mad. My face looked like a train ran over it. I had mine now 4 mos ago and still have knots in my face and am treating wtih Dr. Gross to clear up my problem. They are having to do ultrasound treatments on me. Still very painful face.

I to had a very bad experience with Dr. Whitaker in Atlanta, she seemed to not care at all how I was feeling and put me in with another dr. for follow up. I paid $8000 for my lines around my mouth which are still there and eye lift. I can hardly see and am having to go to eye drs. to try to fix my dry eyes as lids don't close tight. I have sagging bottom eye lids.

Dr. Whitaker did a good job on my eyes and fairly good on my turkey neck. What she failed at was pulling my face back far enough and I have a sagging spot an the left side right at my jaw line about the size of a quater. She said she would fix it but went on maternity leave. I will see her on the 22nd. If she does not do what I want there will be hell to pay. She doesn't know my husband and what he is like. They had to get security when I was in the hospital because he got so out of controll because I had a stupid doctor. It ended up that I had PTSD and he took all my meds away and never figured out what was wrong with me. He was an allergy dr. Can you believe that my dr. had him treating me because he had no hospital rights. also Dr. Whitiker doesn't know what happens to me if I get really upset. To protect myself I become a different person. I know you think what a nut but you don't know what has been done to me and I can't cope with upsets. Anyway I will get my way or I will camp out in the waiting room and tell and show people what she has done. I am sorry she did bad by you too. I know how you fell. I paid 6800 for mine and it's worth about 2000. Good luck to you just be persistant and pester them to death. The nut, Carol ha ha

I used Dr. Lawrence Gross in Stockbridge, GA for an upper and lower blepharoplasty. He took too much skin from the lower eye area and too little from the upper and left me permanently disfigured. I've had corrective eye surgery at Emory Eye Center but my eyes will never be normal again.

Dear Irisp, sorry for your problems with your eyes. Since your revision, has things gradually improved? I wish you the best, Chrystal.
irispittles (3 posts) 24 Jun 2011
Hi, Chrystal,
Yes, I had immediate improvement after reconstruction, as both lower lids were turned downward - particularly on the left. A graft helped with that. I am, however, left with rounded corners, visible 'bumps' from the cartilage grafts and chronic eye watering. It has been more than 10 years since the initial surgery.

Wow, that really does bite! I did not have as many problems with my eyes as you have had with yours. I guess in that way I am lucky. I wish you the best and hope that you get some relief from your problem. Best, Chrystal.

I read your comments about your lifestyle lift on the internet. You seemed very forthcoming and honest. Could you explain exactly where your scars are and how they did this lift. I haven't as yet found any before and after pictures of this procedure on the net. Do you know of a website to see these? I live in Athens, Georgia and am thinking of doing something. I am 60 years old and I am ready for a younger face! Thank you for any more info or advice. Sincerely, Shirley White

I had my first consultation at the Atlanta office, I spent approximately 4 hrs there for a 45 min consultation and did not meet a Dr. They seemed to be very consistent on scheduling my apt. They were very unorganized. While sitting in the waiting room I got a chance to listen to the front desk nurses and staff talk. They were working on their salary, looking over a spread sheet trying to figure out their percentage and how much they were going to make that month. One of them stated "we are taking from the poor and giving to the rich." and they all were laughing. I did report this to the facility, what I received was an apology. I could not get a refund for my deposit. After reading the reviews, I am questioning if this procedure is worth it. If anyone has any information on the Atlanta office, please let me know. I am scheduled for the procedure in a few weeks.
