Has anyone had areolar incision? 1 week to surgery...

By miss kt on 14 Nov 2011

I am having surgery next Monday and due to the fact that I am going for a slight lift as well, I am going with silicone implants with areolar incision.  I am wondering if anyone has experience with this?  So nervous!   Should I expect chest pain or a heavy feeling in my chest after? I know I am going to be freaking out when I wake up and my breast feel huge from being swollen and hard- as I've read happens.  Any suggestions to staying calm besides xanax?

Thanks so much Angie! Yes, I have been doing my research for 3 years now, so...I think I may be over-loaded with info. I am just going to do my best to keep my mind busy:)

Hi there!

Here's what some doctors have to say about an areolar incision done with a lift and implant. Might give you some  useful info. I think you can count on some discomfort and heaviness post-op, but it shouldn't last long. To calm yourself, do as much research as you can by reading through other lady's reviews here on RealSelf. And then, once you've taken in all the info you can handle, try to distract yourself as much as possible. You can make it through this. :O)
