3 weeks ago I was on the surgeons table and today I was out hiking in the woods. Does anyone sometimes have this surreal feeling about their body, pre op version 1.0 and now our upgrades to body 2.0. It makes me excited to get back in the gym and on my bike. Still crazy swollen, but ie decided not to let it slow me down. :)

Good for you!!!! Is your swelling mainly on one side ? How can you tell if its fluid or just plain swelling??

I'm 4 weeks PO tomorrow and today when I was feeling my belly I have this hard ball feeling thing on the lower left side. It's about the size of a quarter from feeling it. Anyone have this? Just called PS cell but I know he's in surgery today. Poor guy is probably so sick of heading from me!!!

Just back from post op check.. 4 w 3d. Overall it was good.. I did have a slitting suture (right in middle) that he removed which he said may take a week to heal and put Neosporin on it until then. They removed the remaining sutures in bb and few on incision. He said u can go in the pool or ocean by next wk (once that spot is closed) Also very pleased with contour and little swelling, and said I don't have to wear CG or binder.. unless I want to (which I do) and I bought a scar gel from them $28 they said to put on daily. Im not cleared for strenuous activity yet . but he told me initially that he doesn't think it's good to do too much before 8 wks. I can walk & swim so that'll do for now. Also confirmed its fine to go in sun.. just use strong sunscreen and reapply often.

Good for you!! And good to know all the other info you provided. I won't see my ps for another week so this answers some of my questions. We are about the same po weeks. Actually, I'll be 5 weeks tomorrow. I am ready to start walking. And most of all get a little sun and swim in my pool this weekend.

So happy your doing well!! It's a shame I had a splitting suture because otherwise I could get in pool this wknd.. he said the incision just needs to be closed. But atleast I'll be able to in time for our mini beach trip next week. Have a great wknd!!!

That's great...swimming next week. I hope I will be cleared to swim at 5 weeks. I've heard that your scar can burn thru your suit. Be careful!

Yay! I have a love hate relationship with my binder, although I hate it just don't think I can be without it. Plus my PS wants me in it until June 17th (my next appt), so that will make it on 6 1/2 weeks. I was po 3 weeks yesterday and I haven't but anything on the scar yet, I'm thinking at 4 weeks I will. I still have the tape on, my PS said I was being silly but it makes me feel more secure :). Glad you got good news and only another week until you can be in the water and sun, that is FABULOUS! Question: just wondering from those of you who had muscle repair. How long did it take to feel a little less tight in that area or does it still feel as tight as ever?

I don't ferl thight in the area at all. The only place a feel stiff it's where is my abdomen incision....sometime burning sensation if rubbing on it....

Good idea ravens. I was hoping going back to April would be far enough considering I have a upcoming MR. Glad to hear sacha's wasn't bad. Sacha was small before...I'm a big girl unfortunately. Hoping that has nothing to do with it.

I'm almost 7 weeks post op. I had MR and I no longer feel tight :( makes me sad believe it or not.

mine was extremely tight!!! Ps said he repaired from under breast bone all the way done.. no wonder I hurt. But I'm 4 wk 3 days and it feels a little better as it's stretching.

I'm at 7 weeks 3 days and my MR continues to sinch up as the day goes on. The past two days I've once again experience extreme sensitivity to the point I have to take some IB or Tylenol. It's almost 2pm and I'm ready for them now. My PS said to give it 3 months. Man I wish it would go away now! So tired of the pain my shirts cause rubbing against my skin.

I'll be 5 weeks tomorrow and I still feel what you're feeling. I was hoping it would go away by 8 weeks because that's when I go on vacation. Whenever my shirts or pants touch my stomach, it's just feels so weird. Very sensitive and numb. I want it to go away too.

I'll be 6 weeks PO Friday and it's still extremely tight feeling. Kind of annoying but better each week.. Nothing to be too afraid of PO seems to go by fast

5 weeks today! Had a very busy day. Was running around from 8:30 to now. Swollen along incision a bit more than usual but I decided to ditch my gc until bedtime. Need to start weening off cuz 6 weeks is next tuesday!

I can't imagine not having it. I'm in mine per ps for at least 7 weeks.
