Just had my full tt on April 6th 2013. First two weeks were grewling emotional and supper uncomfortable but I think I'm on the down hill now. Going to my three week po in a few hours.

I had original TT April 2011, with complication, and then a 2nd TT/repair in January of 2012. I am not totally satisfied with my results. I'm short waisted, and after the second surgery I now have no waist, and a bulge above my belly button. It's hard to keep any pants up, because I am so flat in my lower belly, not to mention I feel like I have a corset on 24/7, and all the fat/skin was pushed up above belly button, resulting in a roll. The very thing I wanted to get rid of. I had a second opinion to see if lipo would help, but the doctor said to fix it properly, I would need a 3rd TT! No thanks! I've resigned myself to the fact that this experience was not perfect and am going to accept myself the way I am. I am still glad to have the lower belly fat gone, however my waist still is huge in comparison. Disappointed!

I am sorry to hear that:(  How frustrating!

It's been a little over 2 years since I had my TT. I have never been happier. For the first time in 52 years, I am happy and content with my body. My scar is almost invisible. I still have a harder spot above my belly button but it has been getting smaller. I spoke with a fellow TT yesterday and she said her hard spot is almost gone as of 4 years post. The hardest thing for me to believe after the TT, was that I would be able to lift, stretch and do everthing I had done before without harming the TT. Well guess what, you do get back to normal again! And my TT is still intact! I could go on and on, but suffice it to say, this was one of the best decisions ever made.

We are on our way to the hotel to spend the night in Memphis, my TT is at 5:45am. So nervious and anxious.

I have one scheduled for April 30th and I'm so incredibly nervous, I'm thinking about canceling. Some of the stories on here are CRAZY! I'm so worried about the scar and complications. Is anyone else having major anxiety? T.

I was super nervous before I had mine but so glad I did! It has been two years and I am still so happy.

I had a full tt on April 6th. The first two maybe three weeks are supper emotional and very uncomfortable . I think the fear of somthing going wrong and the emotional factor has a lot to do with the crazy stories. I'm going to my three week po in a few hours, if you can buckle down and muscle through the first two weeks, you will be supper happy with the results. Be aware around week two lots of ladies have kind of a emotional breakdown ( I was all set to leave my ( perfectly wonderful ) husband who has been thanklesly taking care of our four homeschooled children for the last two weeks. . . Until I broke down in a weepy puddle on the floor because I couldn't move my suit case. That being said my husband was very understanding.

Hello Blondie :o) I made it through the surgery, spent one night in the hospital and now am home on the mend. I did A LOT of reading and research and I think I am doing better than I thought I would!! And I am really suprised to see such nice results sooo soon and the swelling hasn't even gone down yet. I have heard the 3rd day is the worst though so going to be ready. It is Great to have a site like this to talk with people who have been through the same thing. Thanks for responding.

So glad the surgery went well and you are beginning the healing process... I feel the first day was the toughest for me because I was vomiting from the meds and had to call the dr for different prescriptions.... Things get much better once the drains are out.... Its a long healing process but you will love the results... =) Happy Healing!

I will be going in April 5th 2012 for a Ftt W/ MR, lipo of the flanks and reconstruction of the breasts. Im a previous breast cancer patient, had a ssm (skin saving mastectomy) and now im finally getting the reconstruct. The tt is a gift from my dh for having done the ssm.

Wow, you have been through so much lifeafter! This is a great gift to have. Good luck with your surgery. It will be a few weeks recovery time but its so worth it. I went April 8th of 2011 for my full TT and am so happy I did... just be careful not to over do it afterwards... no picking up kids etc.... recovery is very important.
HighHopes 20 Apr 2012
Hello Kristine, I just had a tummy tuck with some flank lipo Thursday April 19th. I was wondering how you were doing? Hope you are feeling better and healing well.

Ladies, I use the silicone strips and my scar is doing nice, however it makes the scar a light pink, will that go away?
