What do I need to know and ask about permanent eyeliner?

I am very seriously considering permanent eyeliner. I have looked around on yelp and such but haven't found much about any but the one person (Sally Hayes) that's always on tv and is expensive and not particularly close to me. From what little I know of the SofTap method, I think that sounds like it would make sense. I happened to find out that the girl that cuts my hair does permanent makeup. I like her, she's close, and she does a great job with my hair and she seemed to have the right answers to questions I asked (she's been doing it for 2 years, she has an average of 2 clients a week, price is reasonable but not scary-cheap, on-par answers regarding procedure and recovery, etc), and the pictures she had with her looked good and she will show me more if I come back for a consultation because she didn't have them with her and she wasn't pushy at all. But I can't find any reviews so I'm nervous to go with the convenient choice. If her book shows a lot of well done eyeliner before/after photos, would you trust it? Anything else that I need to ask?
I am so glad you posted this!! I have been kicking around the idea of getting permanent eyeliner, or at least the lash enhancement done. I'll be so interested to hear what people advise!!
Its scary thinking about all the things that could go wrong, isn't it?!! I think my main concern is getting some crazy looking eyeliner, all thick & uneven....eegads. ;)
