Alli is half-strength prescription orlistat-Xenical. It will not "make" one lose weight.  It helps block the absorption of fat. . .causing one to eat less fat or deal with very annoying (and disgusting) anal leakage. It seems like a great way to change someone's eating habits but there has to be a better way! Lifestyle modifications without the anal leakage issue is always the best option.  I would look into different programs such as "Body for Life", "The Zone Diet", "P90X" (if you are already fit), checking out other programs involving long-term changes in diet and exercising - or do what Oprah does and hire a personal chef and trainer!

I did alli for a while and spent a good amount of money and didn't see many results. After a while I stopped doing alli and started jenny craige. In less than 5mo. I have already lost more than 30IB. It may be a little pricy but it is totally woth the money!!! :>

Alli is the same medication as Xenical (aka Orlistat). Both block fat absorption. If you don't have a lot of fat in your diet, neither will do much of anything. If you do have a lot of fat in your diet, you will likely have greasy stools, liquid expelled from your anus while passing gas, nausea and bloating. So... do you think it is worth it? NOT ME!

I am at a healthy weight and work out regularly, would just like to lose 5-10 pounds. This product has done nothing for me. However, I do like to keep it on hand for when I have to go out for business dinners or events where I know I'll be eating out of the ordinary and consuming a lot fattier food than usual.

Has anyone heard of form? It is a pill and promotes portion control so the person doesn't over eat. No anal leakage...just less eating.

Alli (found at Costco) is the generic, over the counter equivalent to Xenical originally made by pharmaceutical company ROCHE. It works by blocking gastric and pancreatic lipases, thus blocking fat/oil absorption. It is fairly safe, however, must be combined with exercise like anything else. If you don't eat a lot of oily fried foods it may not be of benefit. If you do, take Alli with caution: what you eat is what you get... gas and oily stools. This should be taken with a vitamin because there are certain vitamins ( A, D , E , K) which are "fat soluble" and need oils to be absorbed in the body. Good luck!

Dear Doctor Kenneth, Is it true that alli is only half the stregnth of xenical,so, in effect is not quite the same as xenical?

Thank you so much for the information. I mom has done Ali and has great success..she looks great. I do not eat alot of fat in my diet so I think it will not benefit me at all. I like the Jenny Craig idea and I will give it a shot. Has anyone heard of slim away?

As soon as I started taking Alli pills I experienced joint pain in my both hands, so I had to quit and pills ended up in the trash can and of course the money I spent on them

Alli has worked for me. It does let you know if you are eating to much fat. I have lost 24 lbs in 3 months. Fat makes you fat and alli lets you know if you are eating to much fat. good way to change your eatig habits

Hi,
I was wondering who used these tengda diet pills and if they work. I need to loose 10 pounds fast in like 1 month and I need something that works, no kids play. Any recommandations would be awesome.
Thank you

Sailliteneria,
You might want to take a look at HCG diet program my wife used it and she got some amazing results pretty fast. As far as the tengda pills I've never heard of any pills that will make you lose weight safely. Good luck

I will say... I just got done with the 1st round of the HCG diet. It's a MIRACLE!!!

I lost 33lbs in 35 days. Unfortunately as of last week, the FDA just cracked down and stopped production of ALL HCG drops and injections. (Thankfully I have some left over oral drops to do another round or two to get 30-40 more pounds off.)

I will add...it's a miracle IF you stick to the very strict diet. There are 4 phases - each very different. The bulk of the diet is built around a 500 calorie diet...yes - only 500 calories per day. Sounds crazy...and it was...but I lost an average of 1lb per day. I think I lost almost 15lbs in the first week alone. Let me know if you want more info - happy to share more details.
