Does Age Matter For Rhinoplasty?
By Scouting 4 Nose Job on 19 Dec 2011
I have been very interested in getting a nose job since I was 25 years old, but I am concerned that I am getting too old and afraid of getting the MJ look =( I am currently 36 years old. I am in the military and I do not reside in the USA long enough to seriously do research (besides on google) or find the right doctor (In Southern California/LA area) specializing in African American Rhinplasty. I would like my nose to look smaller and more defined preferably close to the Pop Singer Rihanna's nose style (she has the perfect nose to me) I have attached profile pictures of myself/nose and Rihanna in hopes that I can find a great plastic surgeon and gain a decent rapport with him or her, so I can stop wishing and actually get plastic surgery =)
Fingers and toes crossed for you!
Hi there,
36 is not too old for rhinoplasty! Not at all. There are folks in their 60s who get their noses done. You might want to check out RealSelf's African American Rhinoplasty community to connect with other members who've had nose jobs.
Here's a list of doctors who do African American Rhinoplasties in L.A. (definitely discuss with them at length how much experience they have).
Hope this helps!
