How soon after TT can you carry your toddler

I am VERY concerned about this. I called my PS and they said 2 weeks minimum for my toddler, who weighs 20 lbs.

Thank you Newmomat37, I have the same concerns, the out of the crib, the car seat, my friend carried her 1 year old at 1 month post op and tore an inside stitch, I guess I will try to do the minimal carrying possible.

2-3 months??!!! Holy crap!! What about just lifting in/out of crib, etc. I will also try to limit the carrying around but who can go 2-3 months without lifting into car seat, etc??

I can tell you that I asked several ladies this question and Bella83 said at about 3 weeks I think. Another gal got a nanny for 6 weeks.

This part does stress me out. My husband will be off for 3 weeks, then my mom will help for 1 week so I will go about 4 weeks without lifting my baby at all but after that, I will have to do the basics of in/out of crib, car seat, etc.

Try to wear your binder when you do and use leg muscles, etc. Best wishes! Having little ones does make this a lot harder for recovery.

Thanks newmomat37, I did read that but I was hoping the ladies on this board would give me their own personal experience. My PS told me to try and not carry him until 2-3 months post op.

I have a 13 month old who weighs about 20 pounds and they told me 3-4 weeks. This will be so hard because he wants held all the time :/
