Marijuana after surgery?

What is the time frame to stop and start smoking before and after surgery? Also, i know smoking right after surgery is not allowed or recommended, but what about edibles?
Interesting topic. Unless you're using it for a medical purpose, marijuana isn't legal in the US, so I'm going to say, not at all.
As far as smoking at all after surgery, it looks like six weeks is the minimum.
