After 15 years, implants coming out FEB 10, 2012 restoration party?

By allnatural on 09 Feb 2012

Just anxious to get this over with. Sorry I ever fooled with all this. Hope I can get right back to work. Just found site last night and feel even better about decision. One saline implant deflated so I'm very lucky Kaiser will remove under my insurance plan. Will consider lift later, but very doubtful I will ever mess with anything cosmetic again. Natural really is best. Feel bad that a lot of ladies followed my lead when I got these after three years of breast feeding. Live and learn ladies.

Im so glad I found your post! I am also getting my implants out and getting a lift. Im nervous and excited all at the same time. I cannot wait to be "me: again. When I told my friends I was getting this done, they were surprised as they all think implants are the best thing ever to happen to women. But they also understand my choice. So much so, that a "TaTa to your TaTas" Party is in the planning. LOL My consultation is 10/12 and my only foreseeable obstacle in when I can have my surgery is my hubby as the time has to be when HE can take time off from work to help me out the first week.

My husband was not supportive or helpful. He went into some strange denial mode. Pressed on without him and got it done. Now if I could just get back all that money I wasted LOL

Let us know how it goes Cindy. You will love being yourself again. Can't wait to get my next mammogram and all natural. Girl who did my last one said she'd never get fake ones after all she's seen.

I feel great. All healed. I did have one more surgery (a reduction and lift on one side to correct a large difference in size I've had since breasfeeding). Hindsight is 20/20. Should have done that from the very beginning instead of messing with implants. I dove into a pool Saturday and hit the water a little hard and my first thought was oh my implants, then I remembered it's all me and smiled. I look slimmer without them and my clothes fit better. So happy with my decision.

How do they look now...do you feel their is damage like excessive drooping because of breast implants?

It went well. I was very nauseous after I woke up. Would heve preferred a local, but doctor refused. So glad I found this site, because I really wasn't that nervous after reading about other womens experience. Anyways, I'm up and about, the right breast is very sore. Left one had deflated so really no pain on that side. What I can see looks soft and lovely. My sister took a peak and agrees it looks better. Think I can work by tomorrow. Still a little wobbly, so I will take today off work, as I drive alot with my job. So glas it's over and only cost my copy of $15. All the staff at Kaiser were so nice. Today I will get a good sports bra. Any recommendations. Better to keep them wrapped tightly?

Best to keep the boobs under wraps for now. Keep them well supported. I had my op 6 days ago and am wearing a supporting sports bra. My plasters are still on and cuts a bit tender so can't wear bras. Glad your op went well and that you are healing. Try not to do too much too soon. Especially if you drive a lot. Rest as much as you can before you start driving. I must say that I had less pain than I expected and I have healed quicker than I expected so all is good. Take care of yourself and well done for taking the step, Hugs xxx

I'm so glad you found us! I love your idea of a restoration party! I will certainly raise a glass of bubbly (though it might be bubbly soda :) ) in your honor tomorrow.

It'd be great if you'd hop over to our breast implant removal review community and start your story there. It's a great place to get support and you can update your review and add photos (if you so desire) as you go. There are a lot of wonderful ladies around here going through the same thing you are and I'm so proud of you all!
