12 pounds of swelling after full tummy tuck and lipo

I am 5 feet tall and weighed 121 lbs. the morning after full TT and lipo of abs, flanks, and hips. No drain tubes were put in since it was done with tumescent anesthesia. 6 days Post op now and have gained 12 lbs. due to swelling. Is this amount of fluid retention normal?

Some swelling is definitely normal after a Tummy Tuck and it can last for weeks to months. Please contact your surgeon with your concerns as he or she knows your medical history and is the most qualified to judge if this is normal for you.
