How Are Juvederm and Botox Used for Brow Wrinkles?

What are the main difference between Juvederm and Botox for treatment of wrinkles between the brows? Are they used together? What is the benefit of combining them? How much is used of each?

A: Botox usually best for frown lines

The wrinkles between the brows  (frown lines)  are usually caused by the activity of the underlying corrugator muscles.  Since these lines are caused by activity of the muscles,  Botox is usually very effective. In some cases,  after one or two sessions of Botox,  a filler can be used for additive benefit.  In most patients, though, Botox is the primary treatment.

What is the Likelihood of an Allergic Reaction to Juvederm if I Had a Reaction to Botox?

What is the difference between Juvederm and Botox? Are the ingredients for Juvederm safer than Botox?

A: No Cross-Reactivity with Botox and Juvederm

Having had a reaction to Botox does not put you at increased risk with Juvederm.  The two are completely unrelated and do not have cross-reactivity.

I Had Jevederm Injected 5 Days. The Results Were Hollows Under Eyes & Red Bruised Bag. Help.

bags settled under the hollows. Jevederm was also injected to the lines around my mouth and left me with visible sinks in the middle of my face. I now look like a monster and my wedding in in twe weeks..Please advise me. The dermatologist I went back to would not do anything although I paid her over 1300.00 cash>

A: bumps and hollows after juvederm

I would agree with all those that suggest Vitrase (hyaluronidase) as a solution, as it works within days.  I'm sure it can also be performed on the day of your appointment, so do your best to find an experienced provider as soon as possible.  You will incur a new charge from the new provider, but it's clear that your prior dermatologist either does not carry vitrase or does not have any experience with it, or has lost that important level of trust with you that should put your mind at ease (especially with all the other stress of your planning).
