After I was shrugged off for that appointment, I made a Skype appointment with him so he could at least see me somewhat face-to-face. On the day of the Skype appointment I called in for half an hour with no response. Again, completely shrugged off. When I called the office the next work day, I was told that it had snowed that day and I should have assumed that the office was going to be closed. No one called to cancel my appointment and I was blamed for not assuming that my appointment was cancelled. After the terrible patient/customer service and the adverse side effects (hematoma) that I incurred as a result of the surgery, I contacted the office to request a copy of my surgical notes. I waited a couple of weeks and never heard back, so I requested again. I was told they would be sent, and after two more weeks, I still did not have them. I had to request three times to have my surgical notes, which are legally mine to request, and I waited a month and a half to get them. I received them two days before I arranged to meet with Dr. Parfitt face-to-face again, which seemed highly coincidental. During the meeting, I expressed my grave dissatisfaction with the results achieved. I was transparent in my though processes, but was in no way disrespectful. He became elevated and defensive and stormed out of the consultation room, while telling me to leave the office. He did not try to understand why I was upset and he made no efforts to rectify it. I was there less than five minutes, and again, had driven 164 miles for nothing. Therefore, I would not recommend this surgeon. The patient care and customer service was seriously substandard, and that is putting it nicely. The consultation was rapid and lacked alternative suggestions. The results are depressing and are in no way close to what I had envisioned.
