I Am 18 and I Want to Get Botox in my Top Lip, is That too Young?

I have a very plump bottom lip and a very noticeable smaller top lip and I would like to get Botox injected in only my top lip, being 18 would you recommend that I wait ?

A: With some exceptions: Botox for upper face, fillers for lower face

Botox is a neuromodulator/neurotoxin that is typically used to efface lines that are created by muscle contraction. Therefore, it is effective for the lines between the eyebrows, crow's feet, forehead lines. As for the lips, restylane and other hyaluronics are suitable for "plumping" of the lower lip. It is also great for other areas that need more volume, such as the smile lines and tear trough areas. At your age, you are unlikely to have those last two problems.

In any case, go to an experienced board-certified injector for your injectable needs. Good luck!

How Much Does Botox Cost?

I am going to get my first Botox injection for frown lines, forehead lines, and crow's feet.  I don't want to get ripped off. Can a doctor please tell me - What is the best price for Botox?

A: How Much Does BOTOX Cost?

Although you can find injectors who will charge nominally (we've seen as low as $5/unit) for your BOTOX treatment, you really want to make sure you are being treated by a skilled medical professional. Because a botch job could cost you three months of sagging eyes or worse. Shop for your professional first, THEN shop for price per unit.

Can I Have Botox Treatment a Week After Non Facial Surgery and a General Anaesthetic?

I have heard that you should wait 6 weeks after a GA to have Botox treatment and I am not sure if this is true and if so why?

A: BOTOX after Surgery is OK

There's no medical reason why you would have to wait to receive BOTOX treatment after general anasthsia. Be sure to always have a skilled medical provider review your history fully before any injection of course.
