Had Juvederm done under my eyes. After the 1st treatment - a very uneven result-one eye socket looked half an inch or more lower.Went in to correct it, and instead of a correction - ended up with a big protruding bulge under my right eye and a small "ridge" under my left. Went back asking the PA to fix this. He tried to move the Juvederm, which did nothing except cause a lot of pain, and told me to put ice on the area & use a bleaching cream. As I expected - zero result. How can this be fixed?
There are tow things you need to know:
1. This will slowly go away. After six months most of it will have disintegrated and been absorbed. By a year from now you will look like you did before the injection
2. Next time find a board certified plastic surgeon or dermatologist with a ton of patients and who DOES THE INJECTIONS HIM OR HER SELF!
I had restaylne in the past and it really bruised. the bruises lasted over 3 weeks!! is juvederm similar in that I will get bruising from the injection?
Here is what causes bruising with any injections:
Patient uses aspirin, alka seltzer excedrin motrin ibuprofin aleive or naprosyn and doesn't tell her surgeon
Patient has natural predisposition to bruising
Even experienced injectors get a patient occasionally that bruises even when it didn't happen with prior injections
Deep injections cause bruising more than superficial ones especially when large doses are being used
I use both juvederm and restylane and rarely a patient will be bruised with both.
Believe me your surgeon or injector is just as upset when this happens as you are...
I had Juvederm previously by a reputable plastic surgeon and loved it. He is in Beverly Hills though and I wanted to go somewhere local.Today I had my lips injected at a Med spa by a nurse. Everything was great, she took her time and they look fantastic. I am worried because it only cost $299. This seems REALLY cheap! Is there any way this could be a fake product? I didn't ask to see the syringe. I am worried about the long term effects if this is not real Juvederm. Do fake products exist?
The possibility does exist that you had a product that was not made by Allergan, the manufacturer of Juvederm. Juvederm can also be purchased in a 0.4cc syringe, which is less expensive and can be used for lips. You want to make sure you look at the unopened packaging before you have treatment to verify the manufacturer.
