I did a 25% TCA chemical peel 2 days ago and it did as I expected. When my skin turned brown and became leathery some of it started to peel. I went to peel those off and the skin came off pretty easly but now it's red and burns a little. I've been putting neosporin on it and if I try to apply any other creams it burns my face so I wash it off and put back on neosporin. It has only been 3 days so should I just be patient and keep applying the neosporin? The sunscreen burns too so I stay in doors
A 25% TCA peel is usually considered a medical procedure that should be done by a professional. They will monitor your healing process and make sure that things are progressing as expected.
I applied 50% TCA peel in my forehead and right cheeks but I didn't notice that I put many amount that's why it caused burns. I'm on my 2nd day now but it doesn't disappear. I'm really afraid that it might cause a scar in my forehead and cheeks..please help me,i attached here some of my photos..
Working with Chemical peels is very dangerous if you are not a certified specialist. This burns and scars might last a very long time to heal since you have olive/tan cskin and can take months up to a year to fade enough to cover with makeup. I recommend seeing a specialist immediately and avoid ALL EXFOLIATION! Good Luck!
Will TCA Chemical peel help improve acne scars? If so, for which types (ice pick, rolling, boxcar) is it most effective?
TCA peels can be used for full face resurfacing or spot treatments for acne scars. For Full face chemical peeling, you can improve ice pick scars and box scars. I typically add dermabrasion to medium depth TCA peels for more benefit. Also, I use stronger strength TCA (trichloroacetic acid) peels for ice pick scars to help them raise up. I like to also incorporate fat injections, subcision to elevate depressed scars. I think fat injections are a step up from subcision which adds a layer of tissue under the scars for more benefit, more vascularity to help your scars heal, and to elevate scars, etc. I have many videos for you to watch and pages to read.
