I see Barbette Fremmerlid, the R.N. for Dr. Michael Leff, Overlake Plastic Surgeons, for my lip injections.
What I love most about Barbette is she is a patient perfectionist. She believes in starting conservative and slowly building up to desired results. WIth lips you can always add, but you can't take away.
I only inject half the syringe at a time. Dr. Leff's office stores the... more
I had Juvederm injections in the nasolabial folds. I don't know what to think about the result... After a week, there is some kind of long big lump on one side. Stella used Hyaluronidase for over-injected area and after 10 days she injected filler again. Terrable! Now I have a bump and a “whole” between nosalabial fold and cheek (left side) and she told it will go away in couple month....... more
About me: I'm 26 years old, and had fat atrophy from a radio frequency facial when I was 23 and collagen depletion from using Rogaine in April. I had been looking for something to correct both issues, first looking at a fat transfer, in which I was discouraged by doctors, and then looking at fillers, in which I was also discouraged. But I chose the latter anyway. Hey, I could dissolve it if it... more
I've been to Dr. Peter's in the last year for Botox and then Juvederm. The first time for Botox she did my mid brow area and her technique was great. The second time around the forehead and mid brow - not so great. I also had juvederm done around the mouth and nose. The Botox turn out lopsided, leaving one side with a heavier eye. The juvederm eccentuated my problem around the cheek area. I... more
I received shots of Juvederm under both eyes from a very reputable (and expensive) dermatologist in Seattle. Two weeks later I still have one very black and green eye and a large bruise at the injection site under the other.
Wether it will be worth it or not remains to be seen. I would STRONGLY urge anyone not to have this done before a big life event as you might end up looking as if you... more
Great experience. Easy painless injection after some topical lidocaine anesthetic. Slight bruising and tenderness at the site a few hours later, but nothing that can't be covered with some concealer. more
I went to Dr. Ridgway as he is a specialist in treating the face. I have held off on having any cosmetic procedures because of my phobia of needles. I know this is odd, but it is very real. I finally had enough courage to have Botox placed with Dr. Ridgway was amazed at how much time he dedicated to our meeting, my concerns and my comfort. What was originally to be a one time event has now... more
At 54, have nasial folds, slack temples, and undereye hollowness. Effects of Juvederm only lasted 2 days for me. If you have never tried it, I would recommend only buying one vial to help reduce the costly lesson in case it doesn't work. Unfortunately, I bought two. more
After seeing Dr C initially for Skin Cancer checks (when she found a skin cancer that other MD's hadn't found before) I decided to give botox and fillers a try. What a huge difference that made, and the experience was relatively painless as well.
I look like a feel more rested and look a few years younger. Since that went so well, I thought I would try lip enhancement--and Dr C is... more
My lips have always been naturally thin and flat, especially my upper lip. I was tired of always noticing how small they were and any topical solutions gave insignificant results, if any at all.
The numbing cream that was applied 30 minutes before really worked. I barely felt anything the whole time. Dr. C is very gentle and informative. She was so precise, taking the time to sculpt my... more
I was really scared to get this treatment done. I hate needles/ blood/ pain. All of it. I have thin lips and had always wanted bigger lips, so I went for it.The injections weren't that bad.. a tad painful, but nothing I couldn't handle. I didn't look like a duck, it actually looked really good. My lips were sensative for a few days and then I was fine. I think that it was worth it!! ... more
About 7 months ago i had juvederm under eye injections. they have looked horrible from beginning to end. not only were they puffy like a little pillow, the pillow outlined the bags that were there to begin with. Now that the juvederm is starting to disapate, it is lumpy and the skin looks baggy.nothing but cons to report. puffiness, bruising TO THIS DAY, they tried to "fix" it in... more
I had juvederm ijected in the nasolabiel fold on one side. I have a significant crease the due to residuals of Bells Palsy. I am concerned about the bumpyness and slight discoloration.I had the treatment done almost 2 weeks ago and I can feel the ridge where the doc injected the juvederm. Also, I can kind of see it. The skin seems a little lighter in color in that spot as well. It sounds... more
Had Juvederm injections on the 12th of June for nasolabial folds and marionette lines. The injections were excruciating, some more so than others, and I was surprised at how many I received. Although the shots plumped the problem areas rather nicely, the redness left by the injections gives the illusion that the folds are still there. (The same effect as if you took an... more
My doctor used juvederm, sculptra, and radiesse on my tear troughs. I felt like a guinea pig. None of them worked, even though I followed directions very carefully. I have bumps at all the injection sites. like little lines of pimples.
the md says eventually they will be resorbed by my body. so I get to wait 6 monts - year to get back to where I started, and look... more
2 vials Juvederm: 1 for nasal labloid (did I spell the correctly?) creases and 2nd to fill and lift my now sagging 44 year old cheeks. I have done Perlane before and was also satisfied with that treatmet, but I would have to comment that the skill of this doctor with Juvederm filler surpassed my earlier experience with Perlane. Quick, no pain, immediate lovely results. Do notice that the... more
In the past I've used Restylane, but once Juvederm hit the market, I wanted to give it a try. The results were similar to Restylane, but it does have a noticeably softer, pillowy feel. My doctor said she enjoyed how the injections felt being expelled from the syringe when compared to Restylane. Juvederm, as she described , was "easier to inject". Juvederm felt... more
The last Juviderm treatment held out for approximately 1.4 yr. I feel the investment, and the great results, are worth it! This is for a full vial application. The initial freezing injection stings, then there is very little sensation during the Juviderm injection. No bruising and instant improvement. Remember to not exercise for 2-3 days thereafter. Recommend. more
I had Juvederm injections three months ago by Pam at Dr. Portuese office. I am very pleased with the results I have seen so far.
I had previously used Restylane in the nasolabial folds, but found Juvederm to be much smoother and natural feeling. Juvederm has filled in these areas nicely and makes my face look much younger! I highly reccommend visiting Dr. Portuese office if you are... more
I am part of a trial here in WA. state through my doctor's office - so was injected with Juvaderm in November. The naso-labial folds was the test site - and overall I'm elated with the results. I did bruise a bit more with these than injections from Restylane in the same site, where I hardly bruised. There was a topical applied, but unlike Restylane which can burn... more
