I know this seems like a silly question, but I see both terms used and am not sure if they're the same surgery...
The terms are most commonly used interchangeably by most surgeons since typically the brows and forehead are lifted together. There is a way to lift the brows without lifting the forehead (direct brow lift) but it is not a common procedure.
What's the difference between an forehead lift and an endoscopic forehead lift? Which one is better?
Endoscopic advantages:
- Shorter incisions
- Less numbness
- Less pain
Endoscopic disadvantages:
- Shorter longevity
- Potential to raise hairline
Open advantages:
- Greater longevity
- Better control of hairline (can shorten or lengthen)
Open disadvantages:
- Longer incisions
- More numbness
- More pain
what can be done for my super low forehead?? i tweezed about a 1/2 cm of my hairline about a year ago and it really opened up my face, but it looked very fake. is there a forehead lift that can be done to give me for forehead length? i just need 1/2 to 1 cm and it really opens up my face. please help me. what can i do? my forehead is only 5cms and very narrow. thanks for all the time and effort. -sarah.
This can be accomplished quite well with a coronal forehead lift and there is a way to perform this without significant elevation of your eyebrows.
