Hello, I am one week postop for breast implant removal. I forgot to ask my surgeon if I should massage the scars and also how long I should wait before wearing an underwire bra? He said I could wear a normal bra instead of my sports bra but I forgot to ask about underwire bras.
The proper thing to do is jsut to call his office and ask the question, do not direct it onto the internet.
How long does it take for the capsule to dissolve back into the body after breast implant removal?
The capsule never "melts" or "dissolves" back into the body after implant removal. It either stays open as a pocket forever or the sides stick totally or partially to each other in healing.
BA done 8 weeks ago. Size prior 34c, after tight 34c. 375cc put in. I'm 5'0, 135 lbs. I was hoping for a LARGER size post op and healing. They changed direction and face fwd. not round on the sides like I used to be prior and what I wanted. Dr. took in 20 photos I put on a poster while he did surgery. He said 450 prior, came out 375. I know I don't want to HEAL this small, I'd like to have MY 450 put in ASAP, how long should I wait to redo or remove? I actually looked better before.
Your doctor did intraoperatively what they thought was best for you and wants you to be happy. For whatever reason, they chose the implants you currently have. Give it 2 more months of healing to be sure the tissues don't just relax and look great. If that doesn't happen it is easy to switch the implants but now is too soon.
