Does the Obagi Blue Peel Need to Be Performed by a Doctor?

can this be done in a spa without a Dr.?

A: No blue peels in a spa

A blue peel is a chemical peel whose area of contact with the skin is colored blue so the doctor doing it knows where the treatments have been applied and if any areas have been missed.  Despite its harmless sounding name,iIt is a real burn to the skin and should only be done by a plastic surgeon or dermatologist!

A: It is a mild chemical peel

The Blue Peel is a trichloroacetic caid (TCA) peel that is color coded blue so the doctor knows where the peel has been applied.  It is a relatively mild chemical peel that exfoliates the outer layers of the damaged skin.
