Can Under Chin Liposuction Be Done if You Have a Chin Implant?

I had a chin implant done 1 year ago, but I have some fat under my chin, always had it even before getting the chin implant, and wanted to know if is possible to do liposuction under the chin? would the chin implant interfere with the liposuction procedure? thank you

A: Liposuction under chin okay with implant

The liposuction procedure in the submental area of the chin can be performed without any regards to the chin implant area.  The chin implant should be located directly on the bone of the chin, which is not affected by submental liposuction.

Will my Results Improve 3 Weeks After Chin Lipo and Chin Implant?

After liposuction and chin implant, my neck feels tight and swollen. I am 3 weeks post op. I don't see any improvements in my neck contour after the lipo. I still have the double chin. Should I wear the neck strap longer? Will my results improve? I also have a numb chin and my lip does not come down when I smile or talk. I have the appearance of a stiff jaw. Should I be worried?

A: Chin implant with lipo results and expectations

There will be some stiffness and woodiness in the neck until all edema and fibrosis settles down in the healing process. A neck strap will not help since it has been three weeks after surgery. Try to be patient; it is going to take time to for all of this to settle down. We expect some degree of numbness after this type of surgery to last approximately two to three months.

Chin Liposuction, Neck Lift, or Both for 33 Year Old Male?

At 33 and I have recently noticed some bad changes in the my neck. My jaw is not as defined and angular as it use to be and I no longer have the really nice sharp and strong contour I had in my chin when I was in my early 20's. I am not sure if I should get neck and chin liposuction or a neck lift or both to fix the problems with my chin and jaw?

A: Neck lift or liposuction will not help the look of this neck.

Based on the pictures that were presented, there is no excess fat in the jawline. There are also no muscle issues of anterior platysmal bands. Neck lift or liposuction will not help the look of this neck.
