Can You Clearly Defined the Incidence of Complications with a Brow Lift (Open Procedure)?

Can You Clearly Defined the Incidence of Complications with a Brow Lift (Open Procedure)?

A: Complications of a brow lift

In experienced hands the complication rate of an open brow lift is very low.  The immediate complication that can occur is a hematoma, although we place drains in the forehead to prevent this.  Patients are also given antibiotics to prevent infection.  Asymmetrical brow position is best treated with an open coronal procedure.  It is important to make sure the eyebrow corrugator and depressor muscles are in equal balance at the time of the procedure.  Paralysis of the facial nerve branch that lifts the eyebrow is exceedingly rare in experienced hands.

Should I Go for Upper Blepharoplasty and Brow Lift (Stitch Method)? (photo)

hello doctors, i was planning to get upper blepharoplasty and brow lift stitch method.my eyelids are quite heavy at the age of 25 so wanted to get rid of them.my eyes seems to be unequal because of fatty eyelid.also wanted to add brow lift stitch method to my eye brows.i want my eyes to look bigger.Any help will be appreciated.

A: Upper blepharoplasty or brow lift

A brow lift is not necessary when the distance between the eyelashes and the eyebrows is adequate.  There is no underlying brow ptosis.  If the skin on the upper lids is quite heavy, an upper blepharoplasty alone can be performed to remove excess skin and excess fatty deposits on the upper lids.

Very Low Eyebrows in Male, Would I Be a Candidate for a Trans-Blepharoplasty?

I am a 23 year old male with a very low eyebrows. I inherited it from my father and I appear sad and mad all the time. I would like to ask about trans-Blepharoplasty procedure as I have a receding hairline. Is it suitable for men and what are the changes I will see ? Regards

A: Trans-blepharoplasty for male with low set brows

A transblepharoplasty procedure is performed only for transecting the corrugator muscle of the forehead and will not give a brow lift.  Very low eyebrows need to be raised with a formal brow lift not a transblepharoplasty.
