I am getting breast implants in two weeks and have a girls night out planned the weekend before. I'm not a big drinker, but is it ok if I have one or two cocktails a few nights before surgery? I've heard a few different opinions.
Most surgeons provide their patients with written instructions about what they would like you to do prior to surgery and you follow their instructions. In general, if you were to have a drink or two a few nights before surgery, it should not be an issue. The key is moderation. You don't want to do anything that might adversely impact the outcome of your surgery
30 years old. 3 children and 5'6 140lbs. getting a breast lift with implant. Wondering if i should get 550cc or 600cc.
Without actually examining you it is impossible to tell you if the implant sizes you identified will be appopriate for you. There are too many variables to take into consideration, and it gets even more complicated when you add in a lift. The implant sizes you mentioned are reasonably large, and unless you are having a more limited type of lift procedure, it can be problematic to use larger implant while having a lift at the same time. The operations tend to work against each other. The lift procedure is raising the position of you nipple and breast tissue while tightening your skin. The implant on the other hand is stretching out your skin. The two are not always compatible. If you wish to have a larger implant then you should do your surgery in stages. First have the lift. You can then come back several months later and have a much greater choice of implant sizes.
I was overweight when I was younger and have lost 55lbs since. My breasts were never large to begin with and at this point have lost even more volume and are saggy which makes me extremely insecure. Once I reach my weight loss goal (15lbs to go) I plan to get my breasts augmented though I am not sure if I only need implants or if I should get implants with a lift. Any recommendations?
Your pictures suggest that you will need a breast lift (although not so clearly on the side view) in order to get a good breast shape and appropriate position of your nipple relative to the implant. So it is difficult to say for sure without examining you. It is nice to avoid the additional scars of a breast lift if possible. You might be able to get away with an implant alone by lowering your inframmary fold and expanding the lower pole so that the implants ends up being closer to centered behind the nipple. This might not provide the very best breast shape, but might be better than having the additonal scars of a lift. If instead you truly need a lift, then that could be done along with addressing issues like breast assymetry and enlarged areolas. If you also want to be augmented, I suggest that be done as a secondary procedure as it is very difficult to get good consistent results when done at the same time as the lift, as the operations tend to work against one another. In addition, if you have an implant secondarily you will have a much larger range of choice of implant size.
