How Difficult is It to Smooth out a Bumpy Dorsum Due to a Bony Callous?

I know that all rhinoplasty revisions are complicated but, in that context, how difficult would it be to smooth out a bumpy dorsum? It seems I may have developed a bony callous that is very palpable and visible. I don't want my bridge simply whittled down but would rather have the edges smoothed out and perhaps an onlay graft added for added camouflage. Can you tell me what would be involved given my explanation of the problem? Thank you.

A: Smoothing callus on bridge

Sometimes bumps on the dorsum can just be filed down, but depending on the exact location and size more may be required to adequately support the area afterward.

More could be said about your options after seeing your nose.

Can Surgery Change the Look of my Nose? (photo)

I have always had a bulbous tip and I hate the look of it from the side, because the end turns up, and the frontal view it too wide.

A: Changing bulbous tip

There are a few ways to narrow the width of your tip to decrease the bulbosity there. Check out my link below to find out more about this type of rhinoplasty surgery.

Your tip doesn't appear too upturned from the photos you're showing. This assessment is also based on your hieght, however, so if you're taller than average it may be that less tip rotation would work well.

Is It True That This is the Max I Can Achieve, with a Rhinoplasty? It's Been 1 Month. (photo)

I had a Rhinoplasty 16th of January. My doctor told me before, that a reduction of my nose, will be difficult because of the thickness of my skin. He raised my tip (this was hanging before, specialy when I was laughing),removed the hump, and did osteotomy. What can you me tell by looking at the pictures?? Will my profile change in time, because have a lot of swelling, a specialy in the tip? Sometimes my nose looks bigger then before. You can not see it maybe in this pictures...but it really does.

A: Not the final result after one month

You're very early in the healing process. You need to give your nose time to heal and allow the normal post-operative skin swelling to subside.
