How Much Do Tummy Tucks Usually Cost and What are the Risks?

I'm 5'7" and 320 lb. I want to get a tummy tuck. How much does this usually cost and what kind of risks are there? Will doctors take out of state clients?

A: Tummy Tuck Cost

Cost vary from $6000-$12000 in most areas depending upon complexity,  and if the Surgeon has his/her own OR.

Risks are: death, infection, transfusion, loss of tissue or belly button ,DVT, Blood clots to lungs, numbness.

This is why it important to go to a Board Certified Plastic surgeon with a lot of experience with this proceedure.

I Am Neutropenic Due to Chemotherapy Treatments over 6 Years Ago, Is It Safe for Me to Have a Thighplasty and Tummy Tuck?

My white blood cell counts fall as low as 1.0 and my neutrophils as low as 22%. Could I use neupogen to increase my wbc's before and after surgery?

A: Neutropenia and tummy tucks

You need to find out if you are at increased risk of fighting an infection and that you have adequate nutrition.

I recommend you check with your oncologist and see what he/she says regard this surgery and if you have increased risk of infection or healing problems.

Better safe than sorry.

If you ever question the safety of your plastic surgeons plan it is important to get an independant opinion .

Can I Still Get a Tummy Tuck if I Have a Tattoo in the Same Area? (Photos)

I have a tattoo going up my side and im not sure if i can have a tummy tuck also I dont plan on having another child for 6 years but i hate my tummy its big and bulgy i still look pregnant with many stretch marks and saggy skin which is very bothersome can i have a tummy tuck if i want children that far down the road ?

A: Tattoos and tummy tuck

There should be no problem having a tummy tuck with a tattoo. Your tattoo may chang size shape or be partially removed.

We always recommend you wait until after you are finished with your family because pregnancy or weight gain may  partially stretch you out again, however you should be able to have children and you may never choose to get pregnant again.
