I have really huge wide forehead which also sticks out. Bangs don't fit me, I look like 10 years old with them. I'd like to know if it's possible to do forehead reduction on my face or hair transplants would be better? I need to reduce it for 1,5 cm only
The hairline reduction procedure will unfortunately raise the eyebrows at the expense of lowering the hairline and will be an unacceptable cosmetic result, so it is best not to have any work done.
I am going to undergo a subcutaneous forehead lift as I do not want my hairline to go backwards. Will the scar be noticeable or not?
Yes, a subcutaneous brow lift will leave a scar at your hairline. If well done, the scar will not be very noticeable. If you wear bangs, then the scar will be covered. A properly performed endoscopic brow lift does not really elevate the hairline except slightly in the temple area so this may be an option for you. The only possible advantage to a subcutaneous brow lift is the possibility of slightly lowering the hairline if it is very high.
Someone suggested "forehead tucks" on each side of the forehead to make the area under my eyebrows and over my outer eyelids look less droopy. I had a blepharoplasty in 2003, although I was not happy with the results because there's too much scarring and my eyes are uneven.
Do you surgeons feel that the bilateral forehead tucks would improve my appearance? I have permanent eyebrows tattooed on, but will get them lasered off.
It is somewhat difficult to tell whether or not you would be a good candidate for a brow lift without a thorough examination. You expressed some dissatisfaction with your earlier blepharoplasty related to scarring and asymmetry. It is possible that a revision of your eyelid surgery may be helpful. From the photo you posted, your brows appear to be in a fairly satisfactory position but this is where an exam will be able to help. I, too, would caution you against having laser tattoo removal if the tattoo is at the position of your natural brows.
