I had a brow pexy over a year ago. I now have very hollow areas directly under my brows. What could have been done to prevent this. How can it be permanently fixed? I am a 52 year old female.
Thank you for the photos. This is a small area of depression, but quite obvious. It is easily corrected with micro fat graft injections to get a permanent or long lasting result. This can be done under local anesthesia with no down time. Talk to your surgeon about this. Good luck.
Can You Clearly Defined the Incidence of Complications with a Brow Lift (Open Procedure)?
In experienced hands the complication rate of an open brow lift is very low. The immediate complication that can occur is a hematoma, although we place drains in the forehead to prevent this. Patients are also given antibiotics to prevent infection. Asymmetrical brow position is best treated with an open coronal procedure. It is important to make sure the eyebrow corrugator and depressor muscles are in equal balance at the time of the procedure. Paralysis of the facial nerve branch that lifts the eyebrow is exceedingly rare in experienced hands.
hello doctors, i was planning to get upper blepharoplasty and brow lift stitch method.my eyelids are quite heavy at the age of 25 so wanted to get rid of them.my eyes seems to be unequal because of fatty eyelid.also wanted to add brow lift stitch method to my eye brows.i want my eyes to look bigger.Any help will be appreciated.
A brow lift is not necessary when the distance between the eyelashes and the eyebrows is adequate. There is no underlying brow ptosis. If the skin on the upper lids is quite heavy, an upper blepharoplasty alone can be performed to remove excess skin and excess fatty deposits on the upper lids.
