Can Lipodissolve Under Chin Damage the Submandibular Glands?

I had liposdiiolve performed to remove my "double chin". The needles did not hurt that bad, but a half hour later I was in intense pain. My neck was swollen more to the right. And now 10 days later the left side is healing but my right side had a lump right under my chin. It is too high to be the thyroid.

A: Please avoid lipodissolve

Lipodissolve is not FDA approved and unpredictable results and complications can occur.  I don't know if your salivary gland was injured or if you got a hematoma, but I think your before picture looks just great and looks much better than the current afters.  Hopefuly the swelling will resolve but I'd also advise seeing a qualified ENT surgeon.

A: I just saw a Lipodissolve horrible result

I just had a beautiful patient in the office the other day whose lateral thighs were destroyed by Lipodissolve.  She went to another office and they did the procedure without even letting her go home and think about it.  Red flag!!!!  Then she proceeded to melt down to where she has skin scarred to the muscle and areas of excess fat in between.  Horrible!!!  I'll try to fix it a little but it will never be great!  Careful with this as yet unproven treatment!!!

Is Lipodissolve Recommended for Petite People?

I'm 23 years old, 4'9, and 115 lbs. I'm not fat, I just have love handles that I want to get rid of, like 1 inch. Would you recommend me to Lipodissolve? Thanks.

A: Don't do lipodissolve

Until the proper scientific studies have been done and a consistent formula has been produced that gives good and safe results and until FDA approval has been granted, stay away from lipodissolve.  Read the multiple unhappy reviews on line for this treatment.
