I've heard a lot about Fraxel laser. Acne has always been a problem for me and I have the scars to prove it - can Fraxel treat acne scarring on my face?
Other options include co2 laser resurfacing, fat injections, subcision, excisions, deep chemical peeling, punch grafting, dermal rolling, dermasanding. I believe that treating acne scarring is a multistep process. I like fat grafitng first, subcision and then I carry out more procedures to treat the scars specifically with excisions, deep chemical peeling. I do co2 laser resurfacing at the end with some dermasanding.
It's been a month since my first Fraxel re:store treatment and I feel like I might be seeing some negative side effects and very scared after reading some of the reviews. Would I increase these risks by discontinuing the treatment?
All skin care regimens using lasers can be stopped any time you feel that this is better for you. I can think of no risk in doing that other than not receiving the potential maximum benefit from the laser.
if 6 to 8 sessions can reduce them as much as 75 to 90 percent shouldn't 10 or 12 or even 20 session completely remove them?
I don't know where you were told this but nothing can "remove" stretch marks other than surgical excision as in a tummy tuck for example. Various lasers can reduce the discoloration of early stretch marks and therefore improve them -- but "remove them"? No, I don't believe that at all.
