I know that some patients require more visits than others, but how does the doctor determine this?
Usually most practitioners charge for radiesse by the syringe. I usually carry a 1.5 cc syringe. I usually can take care of most folks with 1 syringe but occasionally someone will require two and I do prefer to stage these at leaset 2-3 weeks apart.
Hope this helps! cheers.
After my Injection of Radiesse in Laugh LinesI Now Have a Lump Between my Nose and Eye. Is this normal?
I love Radiesse and use it often in my Georgetown walk-in beauty-boutique. But, laugh lines and Radiesse don't belong together in the same sentence. Botox works best for laugh lines. Radiesse works best for the mid-face emptiness that comes with aging, and Juvederm works best for Marionette lines. All the above treatments must be individualized to meet patient needs. The good news is this; the lump will go away on its own in most cases.
I got Radiesse injected in the corners of the mouth to improve a downturned look, but I am unhappy with the results. I just got the treatment yesterday and hope that the puffiness will go down but I'm not certain it will. The improvement I got with injections in the cheek area has now been negated by how my mouth area looks--it actually caused deeper marionette lines and it looks like I have cotton in my mouth. What can I do now?
You have to let the swelling go down and then decide. Please let us know how you feel now. Most if not all of the patients I have used radiesse on have really liked it. I think it is important for the doctor to choose the most appropriate filler for the problem in question. It may be that fillers are not the answer for what you are seeking . I think it is generally a mistake for the patient to decide that filler is what is needed. It may be that a plastic surgeon is what is really going to lift up those lines!!!
