Pregnancy and especially multiple pregnancies can cause changes to the body, especially the breasts and abdominal area. When changes do occur the result can be smaller droopier breasts, sometimes larger breasts and abdominal laxity. Fortunately, there are very good procedures that can correct these pregnancy changes. Tummy tuck, breast enlargement or reduction and breast lift are commonly performed together and are often grouped under the term 'Mommy Makeover'. These procedures are performed in our office in one of our certified operating rooms. I believe that your post-op recovery should be made as comfortable as possible. I find that injecting the areas with a long acting anesthetic at the end of the procedure and the use of pain pumps that we provide for your home use help considerably.

Every year, hundreds of thousands of women undergo a breast augmentation procedure. It’s a popular surgery for a reason, as it can enhance the size, symmetry, and overall look of the breasts, giving a patient confidence and the satisfaction of having the body they have always desired.
Breast augmentation is also a popular procedure among my patients in the D.C. and Maryland area. During a consultation, I will work with you to plan a customized breast augmentation procedure. We will discuss whether you’d prefer a silicone gel or saline implant, and figure out what kind of shape, profile, and incision placement would be best to ensure that all of your aesthetic goals are met while making sure it complements the look of your physique. It is also important to me that all of my patients are well-informed, given utmost attention, and fully taken care of throughout the entire length of their treatment, from the initial consultation and long after the procedure.

Face and Neck Lifts

The face is the first thing people see when they look at you. Unfortunately, over time, the skin and the connective tissue in our face and neck can lose its elasticity, altering our features. There can be a noticeable droop and sagging that cannot be corrected even with the most expensive face creams. The good thing is, a face and neck lift can correct this, bringing back that youthful and refreshed appearance we all covet.
Patients in the D.C. and Maryland area who are interested in a face and neck lift can be sure to expect the absolute best care at my practice. First, we will meet to discuss your exact aesthetic goals; then, we will figure which areas to target for improvement and what that will entail. This might include treating the forehead and upper area of the face, the eyelids, the midface, or the cheeks and neck. The procedure, which can consist of removing excess fat, tightening the muscles, and skin redraping, will make you look years younger, but in a natural-looking way.

Dr Richards and his surgical coordinator Marya were easy to love from the start. Dr Richards gave me an honest consultation and helped guide me to the best surgery for the results I wanted without being pushy. From my experience with him, I can tell that he is a genuine and compassionate doctor. Marya made the process and finances easy to understand. She was there to walk me through the preop process and answer all of my questions. When my surgery day came, I was surprised at how much fun I had meeting my surgical team! They were all energetic, kind and passionate about their jobs. You can tell they love what they do. I was well prepared for my post op experience and had an easier recovery than I expected. Best part is that my surgical results could not be better! I had an upper lid blepharoplasty and neck liposuction. It was so natural that I think I look like the best version of myself and years younger! My friends who didn't know about my surgery just said I looked great and asked if I lost weight. I will go back to Dr Richards and his team if and when I am ready another plastic surgery!

Dr Richards was great from the start when I came to him inquiring for my gynecomastia surgery. He listened to my concerns, took the time to understand my goals, and ultimately performed a phenomenal surgery. He was always available via text during the recovery process. More Than Expected
I had a lower eyelid blepharoplasty done last month, Nov. 2025. Dr. Richards answered all my questions and was very patient, understanding, and reassuring with me. After 1 month, the results were more than what I expected and am definitely recommending him.

Excellent Plastic Surgeon with a Kind Demeanor and Great Staff
Dr Franklin does excellent work, has a kind and considerate demeanor, and engenders trust through clear communication and answering all my questions. I had a half face natural lift and upper eyelid lift in May 2025. I am thrilled with the results. I wanted to look normal, like a younger me not super pulled. Dr Franklin achieved that balance and I am truly delighted. Scars are minimal and well concealed. I am 59 years old. In November I had Dr Franklin do a mini tummy tuck to fix some very poorly done smart lipo by another practitioner. I was so embarrassed about my saggy, lumpy, asymmetrical stomach that I couldn’t even look at myself in the mirror. Dr Franklin fixed it all and my stomach looks amazing even just two weeks later still healing. I highly recommend Dr Franklin.

Amazing Experience

Very Natural Looking Results!
I had a lower bleph and natural lift and more than 1.5 years later I’m still really pleased with the results. Dr Richards is excellent at keeping things from looking overdone; he’s also nice and patient! Plus he zapped a bump off my nose during a follow up appt for now charge, which I appreciated! Very good experience overall, would go back if I needed a touch up or another procedure.

Amazing Experience
What amazing experience! With the lower eyelid blepharoplasty Dr. Franklin Richards performed on me, he has proven to be an expert in the field of aesthetic human body sculptor. He skillfully and carefully removed my stubborn eyebags after years of unsuccessful attempts on my part. Right from the consultation, through the surgery, and a few hours after discharge, he called to check on my condition. A key demonstration of his expertise in plastic surgery is his ability to reshape the natural creases, folds, and contours of my eyes so authentically that they appear entirely natural.
