I have had a breast reduction surgery and later on the tatooing was done around the niples...I wished it to be lighter than the actual aerola color but it came darker...what can I do now?..It looks like a "visible darker circle"...I would not mind to have even the whole aerola lighter, but at least I would like to have this the same color as the niple or lighter.
A natural, non altered areola is lighter than the nipple, so I understand your concern. I am not sure when you received the areolar tattooing, but most of the time the pigment does fade. The medical grade tattooing is not performed as deeply in the skin as a normal art tattoo which makes it more susceptible to lightening. Give it about six months and if you are still not happy then return to your surgeon. I hope this helps you.

I want a tattoo that I got less than a week ago removed because it is sloppy looking and I'm allergic to the ink. It is red and black, about 2" by 2 1/2" and it was done by a professional. What is the outlook for removing this tattoo without spending over $1,000 and about how many sessions will I need?

Sorry to hear about your tattoo experience. The outlook for removing your tattoo is excellent with the right provider. It is difficult to say if you will be able to keep the cost under $1000 without examing the tattoo, although 2" by 2.5" is fairly small and generally will cost less to remove than a larger one. You will need on average 5-15 treatments. The number of treatments depends on the ink used and how your body responds to the treatments.
I would caution you not to base your choice on cost alone. There are many providers offering removal these days, and many are staffed by people without training in cosmetic surgery. Do some research before making your decision.
Best of luck to you

I got a new tattoo (less than a week ago) on my left shoulder it's all black and 1cm wide and 5 inches long, though came out wrong. I want to know how to remove it or at least fade it enough to just gt microdermabrasion or a new smaller tattoo. Preferably removal though. I am very afraid of laser treatment. What do you recommend? Is Wrecking Ball an option? And how long do I have to wait?
With a tattoo 5 inches long, I would caution you against surgical excision as you are likely to end up with a scar that is even larger than the your tattoo. Wrecking ball and many of the other topical products may cause some minimal fading, but will never give the results of a laser. This is because the laser will break up the tattoo pigments into small fragments which your body will get rid of. No cream or ointment can do this. I agree with Dr Shelton that Dermabrasion would also be very risky as it would induce a scar since it would need to go very deep to remove the tattoo pigment. Microdermabrasion, which just removes the uppermost layer of skin, would have no effect whatsoever. Once your skin has healed completely from the tattooing process, you can discuss removal options with an expert.
Best of luck
