How Will a Facelift Effect the Definition of my Chin?

Are the changes in definition equal across the face with a facelift? Will certain areas be relatively unaffected by the lift?

A: Improving chin definition with a facelift

If you have significant jowling and neck laxity, a face and neck lift may improve your contour by restoring the tissues to their proper position. Additional improvement in definition can be achieved with a chin implant.

How Soon Can I Have a Facelift After an Obagi (3 Layers) Blue Peel

How Soon Can I Have a Facelift After an Obagi (3 Layers) Blue Peel

A: How Soon Can I Have a Facelift After an Obagi (3 Layers) Blue Peel

It takes about 5-7 days to recover from the Blue Peel. Even after the skin has re-epithelialized, there is a period of inflammation and healing that takes place. It is not my preference to perform a peel and a facelift simultaneously, especially because the post-procedure period after a Blue peel is somewhat messy. If the peel proceeds the surgery, a waiting period of several weeks is recommended.

56 Y/O Japanese Woman - Asian or Western Doctor?

I'm 56 Japanese woman. I would like to remove under eye puffiness and face lift together. Do you recommend Asian specialist Dr or any plastic Dr ? I hear that Asian skin is differ than Western skin. Few my Japanese friends did face lift and eye surgery by Western Dr and they looks not natural looks which I do not want to happen to me. Please advice this matter, thank you.

A: 56 Y/O Japanese Woman - Asian or Western Doctor?

From a technical aspect, an Asian or Western doctor who has experience in Asian cosmetic surgery will be able to perform your surgery. However, from the personal aspect, you may relate better to an Asian physician who is more in tune with cultural norms and has a better understanding of your goals and needs. The doctor patient relationship is like other relationships. A good option for you would be to interview several surgeons, see photographs of their work and also see how comfortable you are with them.
