Rhinoplasty and Nose Shaping

Rhinoplasty is one of the most requested procedures among my Salt Lake City patients, and I perform over 200 rhinoplasties per year. Typically, there are three reasons why a patient requests a rhinoplasty. The first is cosmetic: they feel that their nose is too big, too bulbous, too flat or wide; there may be a bump on the bridge; or the nose may be crooked or disproportionate with the rest of the face. The second reason is to improve functional problems, such as narrow nasal passages that cause snoring and sleep issues, or a deviated septum. Lastly, an injury to the nose may compel someone to seek surgery.
An alternative treatment is nonsurgical rhinoplasty—using hyaluronic acid filler to alter the appearance of the nose. While the results are not as dramatic or lasting, it’s an option for those who have minor aesthetic needs and do not want to undergo surgery.

Face and Neck Lifts

As we get older, gravitational descent and volume loss in the tissues of our neck and face lead to sagging skin, a reduction in the contour of the jaw, and an overall tired appearance. A facelift can correct these issues. There are various types of facelifts. At a consultation at my Salt Lake City practice, I will recommend the best one for you or recommend a nonsurgical treatment based on your unique needs. Neck lifts are commonly performed alongside facelifts in patients experiencing double chin, sagging jowls, or neck bands. Depending on an individual’s anatomy, a neck lift may involve standalone liposuction or a combination of lipo, muscle repositioning, and skin removal. A liquid facelift is a nonsurgical treatment that involves using injectable toxins, such as Botox or Dysport, as well as hyaluronic acid fillers, like Juvederm and Restylane, and collagen stimulators, like Sculptra, to revolumize and shape the face.
