Is It Safe To Get a Rhinoplasty Plus Breast Lift At Once?
I am contemplating a rhinoplasty in addition to my scheduled breast lift. My plastic surgeon said it would be safe to do both and would start with the breast lift under twilight sedation, then move on to the rhinoplasty switching to general anethesia. Is this common and low risk on a healthy adult?
A: Combining breast and nose procedures is safeThe combination of breast procedures and nose proecedures is fairly common for women to do. There are multiple beneficial reasons to combine procedures and if you are healthy the anesthesia time should not be an issue. Make sure you have been properly evaluated by your surgeon who is board certified in plastic surgery and you will have the best chance of a successful outcome.

Havent Tried Implant Sizes Prior to Surgery Just Pictures, Is that Normal?
i have met with my DR for pre-op,he said he doesnt have patients try on implant sizes because it can turn out different once under the skin/muscle.i have showed him picutres on what id like to look like and told him id like a full C/D cup. he states on the day of surgery he fills it closest to what i request and also whats going to compliment my body. should i be worried about this,or is it common for DR's to not have patients try implants during pre-op/consult.
A: Sizing with implants prior to surgery is helpfulI like to talk to patients about what they like and the bra size they want to be prior to surgery. None of this is very concrete or exact so I have a patient show me what size they like by trying on implants. When a patient shows me what they like, I don't have to read their mind. After I see what they are talking about it makes me more comfortable that the patient will get what they want. I have found this to be very reliable with lots of satisfied patients.
I have also heard of surgeons like yours that also have many satisfied patients so there is no right way to do preoperative sizing. Make sure you are comfortable that you have clearly communicated your needs with your surgeon.

Is It Possible to Fix an Uneven Nostril? (photo)
It's been more than 2 years since my rhinoplasty, and since the surgery i notice a nostril is bigger than the other especially when it comes to smiling. the doctor said it was there before the surgery though i never noticed. is it possible to fix a uneven nostril like the one in the picture? many thanks - J
A: Nostril asymmetry is commonYou should look at your preop photos to see what the shape differences of the nostrils were before surgery. Most of the time there is not a significant difference in the before and after appearances. There are techniques to change nostril shape but you can easily get into a bad problem with scarring that is not correctable. Be very careful about trying to make something like this better.
