Do you need to have the corset platysmaplasty done when getting a full facelift if you dont have platysmal banding? Will your facelift fall if you dont?
If you truly need a face lift, the neck laxity is not far behind. Even if you do not see a lot of neck muscle banding it would be helpful to do some form of muscle tightening at this time. There are so many types and techniques of face lifts that it is hard to decipher uless you are a surgeon. If your face lift is going to address the deep supporting layers and not just the skin then the neck should be included. If you are just doing some form of a mini face lift then it does not really matter.
If you do not do any thing with the neck at the time of a facelift the facelift will not be harmed.

What do you think about using an electrical stimulation machine to firm up facial muscles? I'm on a facial exercise regimen - which I'm going to try for 4 mos & I also have a electrical muscle stimulator - which I'm using on my facial muscles - we'll see what happens.
Facial stimulation may tone the muscles but it will not be anything that is externally visible or significant from a functional stand-point. The outer skin and fat contours that you see will not change. It is the quality of the skin and distribution of the fat that gives you the facial appearance that you will see. To look younger you need to consider skin treatments as well as skin toning.

Hi, I just recently began seeing sagging skin on my face. My tear trough areas began thinning and my cheeks began protruding and sagging a bit. I have been under sleeping and gained some weight due to my work schedule and am working on addressing both of those issues now, but is there anything else I can do.
Do I need a Facelift at 31? What are my options! Thanks!
I think you already have a good start on what you need to do. Some of the small changes you have noticed in the tear trough can be managed with soft tissue fillers. Discuss your skin care with an aesthetician and with good skin treatments, you will be able to help your youthful appearance.
Always protect your skin from the sun and make sure not to smoke and you can maintain your best appearance for the longest possible time.
Best wishes.
