Why does the Plastic Surgeon I talk to tell me that he can't do a brow lift & hairline advancement at the same time, when doctors do those together all the time! Also, he tells me I don't really need a browlift. I obviosly l look in the mirror and know what I need. My eyebrows are droopy and I think it looks masculine. Is this doctor crazy or is it me? Maybe he doesn't know how to do it that is why he doesn't want to? He said I was good to go for getting the Rhinoplasty & Chin Reshaping.

It is possible to do a brow lift and hair line advancement at the same time. This procedure is done to help decrease the size of the forehead. The scar will run along the front of the hair line but most people will heal very well in this area.

Why would a board certified plastic surgeon use an endotine fixation device for a brow lift instead of relying on their own suturing abilities? Wouldn't the endotine have a greater failure rate?
After the complete dissection of the endoscopic brow lift the forehead has to be held up to maintain the elevated position. The fixation is a matter of surgeon's preference and training. The Endotine is fairly common but there are other methods. My preferred method is to use tunnels in the bone to attach the sutures to in the forehead and fascia fixation on the sides.
It is best to go with what ever method your surgeon is familiar with.

how long will last the endoscopic browlift versus the open headband incision?
Brow lift procedures will last the same amount of time if done correctly. Each person will have a similar amount of time of correction which is usually quite a long time. There are other considerations that you should think about regarding the differences in the procedures.
The sensation to the top of the head is the main concern, because the open incision will cut the nerves that supply the scalp on the back side of the incision. The scar is also an important consideration.
