i have Gynecomastia and i had Gynecomastia surgery 10 days ago. My photos are at the attachment. My both breasts has collapsed. as like crater. Can you tell me fix itself in 3-4 mounths. Otherwise i have to undergo an operation again. my physicology worse and my english too. thanks.
During gynecomastia surgery, most of the firm breast tissue is removed. A certain amount should be left beneath the nipple to prevent a "saucer deformity" which it looks like you may have. It is a little too early to know what the final outcome will be. If the deformity remains, a combination of liposuction of the surrounding tissue and fat grafting the deficient tissue may be necessary.
York J. Yates MD - Utah.
I have puffy nipples and I went to see a government plastic surgeon. After scanning she told me that the glandular tissue is about 2.5cm. She recommended that I skip the surgery as it is very mild. And if I really insist on doing it, it will be removed by liposuction and a "divider" to shave the tissues. No incision will be done. 1. Should I do the surgery? 2. Can liposuction really remove glandular tissues? 3. What is the size of the normal male breast tissue? 4. will there be scars?
I would agree with most of what has been stated here.
Fatty breast tissue
- Soft (feels like fat on the upper hips)
- Not generally confined to the tissue below the nipple
- Patient is often a little over weight
- Generally does great with liposuction
Glandular tissue
- Firmer (rubbery consistency)
- Generally confined to a few centimeters beyond the borders of the nipple
- Generally requires excision
Many patients have a combination of both requiring excision through a small incision and contouring with liposuction.
Is there anyway to fix a crater deformity from a bad gynecomastia surgery? My nipple and area around it sinks in when I raise or flex my arm. I do not have anymore fat on my chest that can be removed to lessen the contour difference. Any advice or guidance would be extremely appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Structural fat grafting using fat from another area would be your best bet. This may also require release of the tethering scar tissue at the same time which could be done using your original scar.
