Asymmetry After Endoscopic Forehead Lift

I had an endoscopic forehead lift about 5 years ago. It was done by a highly experienced and reputable plastic surgeon. Immediately after surgery, I noticed asymmetry. The doctor advised patience and told me it would settle in with time. I was also not eager for more surgical procedures and figured in time I would get used to it.

It has been five years and it is bothering me more now than before. One eyebrow is noticeably higher than the other and it affects the shape of the eye. One eye is round, the other is oval. I would rather not go through life looking deformed. Can anything be done about this. I like the lower brow side much better. Can the brow on the other side be lowered? What are my options? Do I have any options? Thank you.

A: Give Botox a try.

If you think having the higher side lowered would look good, give Botox a try.

There aren't too many good permanent options that will lower the eyebrow otherwise.  Raising the lower side is however an option.

Good luck!

Cost of a Forehead Lift?

What is the price range of a forehead lift, just approximately... is this procedure less cost than a full face lift or more?

A: Brow Lift costs much less than Facelift

Mary,

Indeed, you can expect to spend much less to have a browlift than a facelift. They are definitely two separate and distinct procedures.

I would suggest that you call around to doctors that have worked on your friends and family. See who comes recommended, and then go in for a consultation. At that point you can consider the costs. There is usually a big variation in fees, so expect a wide range.

Another good rule of thumb is to understand that these procedures cost more in certain parts of the country than in others. For instance, in California and New York, you might pay anywhere from $8000 to $12000 for breast implants, but in less populated areas where the cost of living is lower, such as where I live in Utah, you would normally see fees for a breast augmentation around $4000 to $6000.

Best of luck, and you are smart to do your research in advance.
