Having been involved in a football accident about ten years ago I have always disliked having my picture taken and decided to finally do something about it. The cost could be described as prohibitive but my view on this is you should be willing to spend as much as possible on something which you are literally going to be living with for the rest of your life. Despite having, in my opinion, one... more
This website has been a great help to me in researching rhinoplasty before having the procedure and I want to share my experience in the hope that it will be useful to some of you who choose to read it.After disliking the dorsal hump on my nose and contemplating rhinoplasty since my early teenage years I chose to finally go ahead with the procedure this summer. It was daunting at first as I... more
Went for my first consultation for Rhinoplasty with my co coordinator she seemed lovely, brought mum along which she asked loads of questions and good responses, we were given a book of the before and afters of Dr Lahouds work, seemed pretty good !!
my first consultation lasted roughly half an hour and seemed happy I then booked a consultation with my surgeon for the following Saturday (DR... more
I had an ethnic rhinoplasty performed by Dr De Silva around 7 months ago. I'm already hugely satisfied with the results, which are subtle and look completely natural. Sedation was not a problem and the patient care both before and after surgery was excellent. Recovery took about a week, but there was no discomfort after the procedure whatsoever.
Dr de Silva and his staff are incredibly warm,... more
After considering have my nose done for some while i arranged to see Dr De Silva after a lot of online research. I was at first very concerned when he explained that having the surgery under sedation rather than GA was a preferred option of most of his patients and at first was not convinced it was the way to go. After he explained the benefits i felt very safe and trusted that actually this... more
Hi, just to give you an idea on me here is a little info.... I have been unhappy with my nose for as long as I can remember! Obviously not counting child hood as I had a lovely cute button nose! What happened..?! It has taken a long time to come to a decision to go ahead with getting surgery done.
3 main factors were holding me back, cost, pain and what people would think.
It's hard when I... more
I had Rhinoplasty done by Dr De Silva 2 months ago and am absolutely delighted with the results. I had a prominent nasal hump and a droopy tip which made me very conscious of my side profile.
I chose Dr De Silva to perform my Rhinoplasty as I was drawn to his capability of achieving natural looking results. I wanted to reduce the projection and hump size thereby softening my features. In my... more
Like many others have had not liked my nose. Have lived with it but hate having my pic taken, conscious of my profile. It looks ok from the front but the side! One side in particular is awful. So I finally plucked up courage to see someone about it, the surgeon I have picked I trust. He was honest and acknowledged what he can/can't do. He is conservative in his approach which suits me.
I've got a big nose, there's no dressing it up or putting it gently, I have a big nose and I've hated it ever since it came to prominence when I was a teenager. I have inherited the unfortunate hooter that my fathers side of the family all poses!
I have just had a breast reduction and it has given me so much confidence and I though why not get the nose done too.
I have 2 free... more

I had a closed tip plasty with Dr Van Canneyt on May 12th 2012 and wanted to share my experience for others thinking about having work with him.
While the shape of my nose has improved the septum is still deviated which is pulling my tip over more to one side. I'm very disappointed by this as they told me they could straighten it fully without the need for an open... more
I had Septorhinoplasty 3 weeks ago 31st May '12, Pretty much everything was done to my nose, Alar reduction, nasal bones broken to make bridge thinner, cartilage removed to refine tip and tip lifted as it drooped esp when I smiled, a biggish nose for a girl I'd say but quite straight & no obvious hump. The surgeon and I was pleased when my splint came off after 10 days & I couldnt... more
Hello all, I had a septorhinoplasty or just a rhinoplasty im not to sure. This was due to having my nose broken about a year back and it was slightly bent. But basically they broke the nose to straighten it and they made subtle changes to the tip by removing some scar tissue, even though I did not ask them to do this. The problem I have now is I seem have a hump on my bridge when i more
