A: Crowns and fillings cannot be whitened

Whitening treatments do not affect the colour of fillings or crowns, they only whitening the natural tooth surface. Your dentist should make you aware of this, especially if you have may crowns or tooth-coloured fillings at the front. Crowns and white fillings can, however, be changed after whitening treatment to match your newly whitened teeth.
