What Can Be Done to Revise or Minimize my Scars on my Thighs and Abdomen? (photo)

These scars are from 12-5 years old. The first two photos are the scars on my upper thighs. The third photo is scars on my lower abdomen. Any advice is appreciated!

A: stretch marks therapy

From photos they look like striae or stretch marks -scar like defects in skin commonly seen on thighs, abdomen and buttocks.

They can occur spontaneously, obesity can cause it, hormonal problems, certain drugs and pregnancy.

Treatments are not very effective , they can make them less visible but not remove those completely. Laser, Radio Frequency, Chemical Peel, Dermabrasion, Microneedling are all used. Surgical removal is possible from the lower abdomen if there is enough skin to stretch the skin and close the defect.

You need to see a cosmetic surgeon to discuss your options.

Non Surgical Way to Bring Jaw Forward? (photo)

I am 31 years old, I have a deep overbite and one side of my jaw has class 2 occlusion which makes my jaw look more rerouted on one side than the other.....can some orthodontic appliance help correct this problem and maybe bring my jaw forward a little....I really don't wish to break my jaw and face the side effects of jaw surgeries

A: Balancing chin, jaw with dermal fillers/implants

Thank you for your question.

You seem to have what is called receeding chin / jaw. When chin prominence is relatively small in comparison to nose and lips. In  a well balanced face tip of the nose and chin are at the same vertical plane on the side view.

You can improve this by using injectable chin filler or have a permanent chin implant inserted surgically.

How Would Vaser Liposuction Help with my Tree Trunk Calves?

What risks are involved with the procedure? Is vaser lipsuction the right procedure for the calves? Will it be more painful that vaser in other areas?

A: Vaser for lower legs

Thank you for the question.

Vaser is a liposuction for stubborn deposits of fat resistant to diet and exercising.

It potentially can be done in most areas of the body in suitable patients. As it is not weight reduction but body reshaping procedure obese people will not be good candidates.

Shins, calves and ankles  tend to stay swollen following Vaser for longer time due to more extended recovery of the lymphatic drainage from the lower legs. The other risks are similar to Vaser done on any parts of the body: bruising, leakage, scars, infection, numbness, lumpiness.

Vaser is probably the most suitable procedure for liposculpture for most areas of the body as it consistently delivers results. It is not absolutely painless procedure if done only under tuminescent local anaesthesia. Most doctors also sedate patients so they can tolerate the procedure better. For more sensitive patients there is an option of doing it under General anaesthesia.
