I just had my 1 month follow-up from surgery & am super pleased with the outcome so far. At my initial consultation, Dr. Rodgers covered issues that no other doctor I consulted with even brought up & made me feel extremely at ease with the entire procedure. After years of dealing with overly large breasts, I am so much happier and more at ease than I've ever been. Went down from a 36K to a... more
So after reading so many reviews and stories, I thought this would be a great place for me to share my upcoming experience as well! I went to see a rheumatologist in early June because I was getting some severe back pain and joint pain in my knees and hands. My mom went with me (she sees the rheumatologist, too) and the Doc said that I should see a plastic surgeon because the symptoms I listed... more
Have had large breast from an early age hoping to get reduced and lifted to live a normal life of shopping easier for clothes a and working out. Wanting to be a large D. I have done a lot of research and have already had my consultation and preop. Will update when I have the procedure in a few days.
Was very nervous but ready to be a normal size for once! Here is the day of

Consultation is July 7th. I have BCBSTX PPO plan, am nervous I won't be approved. I have had these problems since I was in 8th grade, so about 7 years. When I developed such large boobs, I decided to lose weight. So over the next two years, I lost about 30-35 pounds (I weighed 145) and it might have increased stress on my frame since they didn't shrink. I've been to a chiropractor/masseuse for... more
I have been stalking RS for months and finally decided to post my journey! I took the time to post my journey on my phone yesterday but I don't think it submitted. So here goes for round 2...I'm a 38 years young with 1 kid in college and all my life I struggled with very large breast. I'm currently a size 36 H/I - the last bra I bought was an I. The size of my breast never bothered me when... more
I can remember being very flat chested and wanting large breasts so bad and then BOOM...puberty hit and it was like I went from an A cup to a D cup overnight! I remember wanting a breast reduction as far back as high school because I just couldn't wear all the cute little tops that all the other girls could. I was 5'3" and 125 pounds with breasts way too big for my frame! As I entered my 20s... more
After major weight loss, I sought out a surgeon for a breast reduction and tummy tuck to remove excess skin. Dr. Kim came highly recommended and I researched her thoroughly and could find no bad experiences. There was nothing negative at all. Dr. Kim & her staff were AMAZING. I'm so glad I chose her more
How do you describe years of pain, fatigue, embarrassment and self consciousness? I wore a 38H bra and hated my body and the constant physical pain in my back and shoulders. I couldn't play with my 6 and 3 year old. Mommy got too tired and hurt too much. It is understandably intimidating to walk into a doctor's office with the clear intent to change your life, but I can honestly say that it... more
Tired of the back pain. No exercise , weight loss could change the 38 DDD size on this 5'1, 120 lb frame. So the option of breast reduction seemed liked the next step. Did some research on the procedure and on physicians in my area on my insurance plan. I also researched my insurance for coverage on the procedure . Made my appointment to consult with Dr Myers and my journey started. I am... more
Hello all! I've just been introduced to this site and find all the reading very helpful. I am 46 years old and have always had very large breast. I will be having a breast reduction and a tummy tuck in 6 days. Can anyone give me advice on anything that will help make recovery easier? I have rented a hospital bed to help with sleeping and getting up and down. Other than that I'm depending on... more
I'm a 21 college student, and, of course, I developed quickly and early. By the time I was 13 I was a C cup and wearing larger bras than my mother. By my freshman year in highschool I weighed a good 125 and was a D cup. By my senior year I fluctuated between 135-150 and was a DD. Now, I weigh in at about 155. I HATED not being able to wear cute, flowy tops without looking 5 months pregnant.... more
Like all others who are considering a BR, I am quite nervous. I have considered the procedure for some time now, as a matter of fact this was my second consultation.. The first procedure was not approved by insurance, I just continued to endure the pain. I was approved at the beginning of this month and am ready to go!
Well, tomorrow is Friday. Hoping to stay busy at work all day to keep my... more
I went to Dr. Cortes for a breast reduction, and I can say that I am extremely satisfied with my outcome. The thing I was worried most about for the surgery in general was the "anchor " scar. Well, Dr. Cortes doesn't make the anchor scar in his surgery. I knew immediately I had to do the surgery with him. The thing that I am satisfied most with the surgery is the shape of the breasts. It's... more
Dr. Horndeski performed a breast lift and reduction for me in January 2012. It turned out terrible. The scars were terrible with puckering and pieces of skin just sticking out. The worst thing is that he put my nipples TOO HIGH and too far inward! This makes it very hard to find bathing suits or other clothes. I had to go to a reconstruction specialist to get some help, but it could not all be... more
Back surgery -1 1/2 years ago--continued back pain--large breast. I do not want to go through another back surgery and my back doctor has recommended I get a reduction to avoid any further surgeries.
I will post my before pics as soon as I take some--13 days until surgery--Tomorrow will be four weeks post op on my BR--I'm still swollen -I had a tt on 5/26/11--while I was having my... more
I'm not having a breast reduction according to my husband. I'm just having his toys restored! Lol
I'm 30 years old, 5'2" and 190 lbs. I wear a 36 J. I'm married with 3 children.
I was huge when I was 12, a 34 DD. I'm just ready to be small. I want clothes that fit. And you know what, I want to buy a bra that cost $5. I'm sick of not being able to be... more
