I had radiesse for the first time 4 days ago. About 20 minutes after injection I had excruciating pain on one side (so bad that I was vomiting). The nurse who injected me said it was "normal" to have a "headache" after and didn't seem concerned. On the 4th day I woke up and knew something was seriously wrong. My chin and neck looked horrifying! I had so much swelling, redness, crusting, even... more
Very pleased with another visit to Dr. Athre. It was time to take 5 years off and he did it again in 10 minutes. Dr. Athre injects patients himself, rather than using a nurse aesthetician and I believe it makes all the difference in the world. Quick, painless and I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. He takes a conservative approach which results in a natural appearance. I'm not puffy nor... more
I went in for a consultation thinking I needed a lower blephoraplasty, but Dr Vitenas let me know right away that a procedure like that was not what I needed. He told me due to my weight loss in the last year that I had lost fat in my face, mainly my cheeks which made my eyes look hollow. He suggested Radiesse and I decided to go ahead and try it. Wow.. he used a 6 syringes and the effects... more
I only wanted to correct my smiles lines, but the place I went puffed up my cheeks instead of correcting the lines. They are minimized, but the lower sides of my mouth remind me of droopy dog as the sides of my mouth are too puffy.
Also, now when I smile it is causing under eye wrinkles because there is a dip between the eye& too puffy cheeks. Also, she put more in on 1 side....so now... more
Hate the way I look after Radiesse injection! But I have good news now - I went back to see another doctor today, she tried to remove some from the lip and cheeks with the syringe and I think it looks a little better. She also said that you can see Radiesse on the X-ray (because it is Calcium salt) and it can be physically removed from incisions made in the mucosa of the mouth.
But for the... more
Got 2 0.8 syringes (1.6 total). The numbing creme helped and i think they mixed some of the lidocaine with the radiess-I'm not sure, but the pain was not so bad. Used it for my cheeks and nasolabial folds. I am 34 and not over or underweight, so I really didn't have a serious problem. the results were subtle but fantastic. My friends and family, who didn't think I needed anything... more
I had radiesse on my naso-labial lines and a couple of acne scars 3 days ago. I am much better today, but I was EXTREMELY swollen for the first 2 days, and I also have bruising at the some injection sites. My face was really sore for the first couple of days, but today it is getting better.
Don't believe anyone who tells you that you can return to work or your eve more
I had Radiesse injection's 5 day's ago. I wanted to do it because I needed to fill my cheek's out. One of my fear's of this procedure is uneven result's. my result's did come out uneven and I have a horrible hematoma under my right eye along with swelling.Today I pulled some of the product (Radiesse) out of the inside of my nose, and yes it was the product it was not normal mucus and now my... more
