Labiaplasty Vs Vaginoplasty ~ How Are They Different?

How is a labiaplasty different from a vaginoplasty? How do I know which procedure I need?

A: Labiaplasty is outside work and the vaginoplasty is inside work

The more common procedures Labiaplasty. I have treated girls as young as 14 who were cheerleaders and have both cosmetic and functional problems with the elongated labia. In older women, especially those who have had children, they may also have problems with the vaginal opening having enlarged due to problems associated with deliveries including tearing of the posterior vagina. I recently treated a woman who delivered before the doctor could perform  an episiotomy, and she had a severe tear requiring the repair of muscle layers as well as removing excess vaginal mucosa(lining)

Wait After Having Children to Have Labiaplasty?

I am interested in having Labiaplasty surgery. Should I wait until I am done having children to have this procedure done?

A: No need to wait

Most of my labioplasty patients are undergoing a reduction in the length of the labia minora which are the inner labia or lips. Although the labia may elongate over the years , it should not be significant enough to warrant a reoperation . The healing time from the labioplasty is approximately 1 week. I use absorbable sutures , so no sutures have to be removed
