Hello. I would like to share with you my road to revision story, I need revision because of an unnecessary failed primary, I say unnecessary because the surgeon I went to is a very skilled surgeon , I feel like I m the unluckiest patient dr Cochran had. he has so many happy patients . my bad outcome could have been easily avoided if 1- we were on the same page my doctor, I expressed that I... more
Dr Cochran seriously is the best. I know most everyone on this site says it but it is true. I honestly never considered any one else when I decided to go ahead with rhinoplasty. I had heard nothing but great things about him and had personally seen 4 noses he did that turned out great. I can now say that he is worth the hype. He is caring and listens. Above that Dr Cochran really knows what... more
I have been meaning to write a review for a while now since this is partially how I decided to go through with my surgery with Dr. Cochran. My experience with Dr Cochran and his office has been amazing! The reviews on this site helped me decide to get my first consultation with Dr Cochran. I live in Oregon but my sister lives in Dallas and I liked that Dr Cochran focuses solely on rhinoplasty.... more
All I can say is that I'm extremely pleased with my rhinoplasty. I couldnt have asked for more, the results are exactly what I had dreamed of. I went to Cochran to have my bump on nose corrected and have my nose lengthened (to get a more masculine look).
Cochran is a extremely professional, caring and great surgeon. I dont have anything negative to say. The team behind Cochran is also top... more
All I wanted was "a little off the sides", because, I actually like my nose. The alar width and nostril flare is what bothered me though. One week after the quick 20 minute procedure under general anesthesia, I am very pleased with the results, even while there is still a tad bit of swelling.
Going "under" was the easiest part of the process. I basically woke up in a chair a bit wonky from... more
Much thought and research went in to this procedure. I visited with a total of three different rhinoplasty surgeons, however I was immediately convinced after meeting with Dr. Cochran and viewing my 3d images and his portfolio. The other Doctors work did not leave me with a settling feeling, some of their noses looked decent and some just were not to my standards. I stressed to Dr. Cochran... more
My expectations is to have a nose that contours my face and does not look too fake. Want something that looks naturally fitting to my face. I need a self-asteem/confidence booster. Tired of being insecure and paranoid that people are looking at my large nose from the side of my face. Want to start the year of 2015 strong. more
I was a competitive athlete, a gymnast. When I was 11 years old, I had an accident learning a new skill and ended up breaking my nose. I didn't go to the doctor that day because I was absolutely terrified that I would have needed surgery to correct my nose. I let my nose heal and the process wasn't pretty... I have a petite face so the most prominent feature of course was my nose. The scar... more
I'd had several nose breaks through my sports days in high school and college. With that came unwanted knots and of course, breathing problems. After several years of wanting to get it done, I did a lot of research on doctors and finally decided to go to a consultation at the Gunter Center. From the moment I talked to the front desk receptionist, to when I met the rest of the staff I knew I'd... more
It's day 5 after my rhinoplasty and septoplasty procedures, so I will give a quick account of the last few days after the surgery in the following posts. I chose Dr. Natan Yaker in Plano, tx for this procedure after years of thought and consideration. I broke my nose as a teen and have been unhappy about the appearance ever since. I developed a pretty substantial hump on my bridge and it was... more
I had developed a "beak" as I called it through puberty. Kind of like a hook or a horn nose that made my nose seem a lot bigger on my face than it really was. I actually couldn't breathe out of my left nostril at all from a severely deviated septum. So I'm not sure if my surgery was considered a rhinoplasty at all. The structural integrity of my nose was unchanged except for the removal of the... more
I've hated my nose since 5th grade. Going out in public was always tough for me. I felt like my nose was the first thing a stranger would look at, since it's so big. I was made fun of for the bump on my nose throughout high school and I'm ready to do something about it! I joked around with my mom one day about having a nose job. She surprised me and agreed that it was affordable. My dad... more
I'm not usually an online sharer, but this site has helped tremendously. I feel like I owe it to you guys to share my experience. In high school athletics, I was always told that I should have my nasal airway checked. The deviated septum and constricted airway are genetic in my family. I've always been a mouth breather, so I drool a lot when I sleep. :) And I have always had post-nasal drip -... more
I have disliked my nose since it developed after 13 years old. I have been contemplating Rhinoplasty for over a decade. I had always been somewhat apprehensive due to the recovery, but I knew that those few weeks of recovery would be worth a lifetime of carefree enjoyment of my new nose. Looking back now a few weeks post op, I have realized that I've been modifying my mannerisms even due to my... more
I had really hated my nose for that last 10 years or so. So I had been searching and searching all over the internet for rhinoplasty before and after pictures. I am an older woman, so I wanted a very natural look. Dr. Cochran and his staff gave me just what I was looking for! I am ecstatic with the results. Very natural, and it definitely makes the difference in my face that I so long... more
I am SO nervous! That's the most appropriate way for me to start this. Lol I will be 25 a week before my surgery..which is now less than one month away. I've wanted this for as long as I can remember. I live in California, but since I have a 3 year old, beautiful WILD CHILD in 2 days (omg!) I will need some help from my wonderful family while recovering..so we will be flying to Texas! We... more
So I'm 27 years old now and since maybe middle school or a freshman in high school I started feeling really self conscience of my nose. Maybe because at that time it had become really pronounced from my body maturing and reaching adulthood. Me and my brother both have my dads nose, which isn't all that of an inconvenience for my brother cause he's a guy. But my large nose just looks so... more
I saw Dr. Kasden in early 2013 for rhinoplasty and a breast augmentation to replace the saline breast implants I had since 1996. He spent two hours with me, truly listened to what I wanted, answered all my questions and made me laugh several times. He is very down to earth and treats you like a friend. His office manager, Beth, went over everything and we scheduled the surgery, she was so... more
Hi! I had a primary rhinoplasty done by Dr.Kasden years ago and he dropped the scrapple on my nose. I had to have a scar revision done in March of 2012 and it is horrible. He also did a laser procedure on me and left horrible white hypopigmentation spots and scars. He is way to aggressive.
I am scheduled for a revision rhinoplasty Feb21 and cant wait to be able to breath again. The new doctor... more
I suffered for years with blocked nasal passages and a deviated septum which caused breathing difficulty and ear problems. In addition I had a bit of a disfigured nose due to the septum and I also had a very small nose. Dr. Cochran was able to fix the blockage and septum, narrow my nose, and remove a dip I had towards the end of my nose which gave me a distorted profile. more
