Can Squeezing Nose to Make It Smaller Do Permanent Damage?

I cry every time i see my nose, what should i do?I'm just 18 year old. I looked at the nose huggie. I thought that if i squeeze my nose it will become smaller & sharper. i did it for 40 minuts but with a hair clip, because it's kind of like the nose huggie. I've noticed that my nose became bigger and wider. this is my 2nd day. Did I damage my nose? Is it gonna return back?

A: Squeezing nose to reshape.

It is highly unlikely that squeezing the nose will reshape it.  Contrary to what your mom may say, you face will not "freeze" in that position.

I suspect that you may have some swelling, and that things will return to normal.

Restylane to Fill the Crease on the Nose?

I have a really turned up nose, but I don't mind that as much as the crease RIGHT down the center. I'm very conscious of it as I model a lot and it makes a shadow in photos and ruins them!

I'm afraid to get anything permanent. I already had Botox. Is there an injectable that can round out the crease? Could an injectable cause scarring? Also, what average cost would I be looking at? Thanks.

A: Crease on nose

The crease is due to your strong cartilages that diverge causing a depression between them. Lights cast a shadow, and your photos are ruined.

Filers may be a temporary fix, you may want to look into a rhinoplasty. There are other elements about the tip that may actually enhance the beauty of your face, and therefore may be advantageous.

Non Surgical Nose Job Tip

For the most part I like my nose, except for one issue, the tip of my nose droops down. This is even more pronounced when I smile. I am not into getting rhinoplasty. Would a non surgical nose job be able to enhance the rotation of my nasal tip at all? Thanks.

A: Non-surgical correction of drooping nasal tip

You may try such fillers as Juvederm or Sculptra or others. They may work, but they are expensive and are temporary.

You may wish to get over your aversion to the rhinoplasty procedure. Your tip can be corrected leaving all other visible structures untouched, and it will be permanent. The fillers add $$ quickly.
