I am 2 days post op and am having ups and downs with pain. The most important thing is to set alarms and don't sleep thru your meds! I had a full tummy tuck and breast lift with lipo to my legs and love handle areas. The worst part are these drain tubes! They hurt so bad. Does anyone know when I can get them out?? My lift isn't hurts too bad, I think it may be more of the bruising.
I'm 19 days away from my surgery, and just starting to get pretty nervous. I must of searched the web for 2 months and made 3 appointments with different doctors, but dr. Decherd was my favorite from the beginning. His staff is super sweet, he was nice and to the point. My stomach, how it looks and lays all over the place, is a big issue for me. My husband is not the father of my children so... more
I paid for my procedure today and had my prep appointment. I am so nervous and so excited at the same time. I'm mostly concerned about being gone from work and feeling quite guilty about it - I work with my family company. I know that this will make such a big difference in my life, so I know it will be worth the temporary pain and guilty hang ups. :)

I have listed 125 pound and maintained my loss for the past 5 yrs. I am a certified personal trainer and help people change there bodies every day, however no matter how hard I tryed I could not lose the little skin at my c-section site. So I sent out to interview dr.s for there opinions. Dr. Lawton assured me that my efforts were great and it just wasn't something that would tighten like I... more
I am 5 days po and I went for a fully tummy tuck with lipo on the waist I weighed 198 lbs and I am 5'7" tall 7 months prior I had 700 cc's of saline plants and breast implants were more painful than a a full tummy tuck with lipo and muscle tighten. After months of reading everyone's helpful reviews, I have decided to blog about my journey too. I have a two beautiful daughters (ages 6 & 2) and a loving and supportive husband. I'm 35 years old, 5'1 and currently weigh 129lbs. My goal weight is 120 and hoping to be as close to 125 by my surgery date. Like many of you, my thoughts of having a tummy tuck all started after having my babies. My... more
I have had 2 kids, and my first pregnancy absolutely ruined my stomach. I have lost all the baby weight but still have a lot of loose skin that isn't going away with exercise. I also was a 34e and have gone down to a small 34d which left my boobs sagging. So for the past month and a half I have been going back in forth with getting the tummy tuck or breast implants. I have been to 2 different... more
I am currently 11 days post op and compared to my two C-sections, this is the easiest surgery ever. I also had lipo, MR and a hernia repair. I do attribute my experience to my amazing PS, so I can't stress enough how important it is to do a lot of research and visit as many plastic surgeons as you can before you meet one that you like. I have read a lot of stories on here about how much... more
I'm so happy with Dr. Barone's work! It's only been three weeks since my liposuction and tummy tuck, but I see awesome results! I won't sugar coat it, it was very painful the first week and a half. I think I asked my husband at least twice a day why did he let me do it, LOL. My only issue is my new belly button. As an infant I had an unbiblical hernia, and she said there was sooo much scar... more
Not as bad as I thought. Minimal pain. TT is the worst but still not bad. No pain in breast at all. I used a reclining lawn chair and layered with blankets and pillows and raised the toilet seat. A definite lifesaver. I could Not sit on my couch it's way to low. Couldn't have slept in my bed. It was too high. more
I go in tomorrow for my pre op. TT Monday. I'm really nervous because I don't have much help. Does anyone have any advice ? The PS said it will only take about an 1 1/2 to complete . I will go for recovery then be sent home. I live about an hour from the hospital so I'm scared about the drive as well.

After 3 years of research, I finally went through with the tummy tuck. I am 27 years old, I have a single boy and then twin boys. My last pregnancy left my body a mess. I have a slim figure but with extra skin sagging down. It was hard for me to buy clothes because I needed something with a big waist with a small butt and...you see where I am getting at. The day of the surgery I arrived an... more
So here are my stats. I'm 5'0", 101#, and have one son (he is 2.5yrs). I was never a tiny person, my best looking time was in college about 115#. Then I got married and pregnant and weighed around 125. When I delivered my son I had reached 190! So my weight loss journey began and here I am 2.5 years later and 90 pounds lighter. I kept losing weight thinking my stomach would shrink but it's... more
My goal is to have a flatter stomach and not to have the rolls of skin each time I sit down. I am about a size 10-12, 5ft 8inches tall. Weight about 170. I workout on a regular basis. But the stomach area changes only slightly. It's so frustrating to look good everywhere else but my stomach. I wear a bikini and I am afraid to bend over because I have skin that falls over the bottom. Ready to... more

I was getting a breast reduction and decided that since I would be under I might as well take the plunge and get rid of all that extra skin left post pregnancy. I'm glad I did it. I found this sight very helpful in preparing me for what to expect. There are two things I wish I would have known well in advance: 1) do lots of low back exercises before surgery. Being humped over for so long... more
I had my first child when I was 19 years old and at that time I went from 124 to 199. My tummy was left stretched more that quite a bit. After getting my weight down to about 145 pounds, I was left with a stomach that looked as if belonged to someone who was four times my age. Ten years later I had my daughter where I went from 155 pounds to 220 when I came home. I worked out after I recovered... more
Procedure is what I expected. From the anesthesiologist, the hospital staff, and the surgeon himself made me feel very comfortable and I had no worries prior to having my surgery. The only uncomfortable part of the recovery process is the tubes hanging from your sides for drainage, other than that the procedure and recovery process has been a success. I am still recovering and the only... more
I am a 32 year old mother of 2 ( ages 9&5). Both babies were big and my stomach has never looked the same. Having my first a child at 23 made the thought of never wearing a bikini or feeling comfortable in form fitting clothes again unbearable! I've been researching and talking to different plastic surgeons for nine years, but have never been brave enough to take the plunge. I recently found... more
