Peter Raphael, MD

25-2-2025 I want to give an extremely accurate description of my experience and healing process so my review will probably be in pieces. I am now 2 months post up and the first 8 weeks were HEAVY. I was really swollen and my emotions were going up and down all the time. Because i wasnt sure if i was going to like my results but like i said i am still healing and it has enormously changed in the past 2 months and im super excited to see what the future holds. So far im super happy. Make sure you know that this experience is mentally extremely draining and it will take a toll on you. Make sure your doctor is excellent and that at least your work will be done perfectly to your liking because looking back if i hadnt been able to hold on to the thought that one of the best doctors has touched my face my experience wouldve been horrible. Again right now im still healing and i want to give you a very accurate description of my process so i will be back.

Dr. Raphael has actually done several surgeries on me. He was recommended by a friend. I started with lower face lift, neck lift, and breast implants, as I had lost volume due to weight loss. My next surgery was a total body lift, and removing loose skin under my arms. i still have one surgery left(legs). I wanted to do legs with my body lift. Dr. Raphael asked me if I wanted it done or I wanted it done right.I chose to have it done right. Which is why I still have one more surgery coming up. He definitely has changed my life for the better. He truly is an artist when it comes to his surgery. I will never regret the journey I have been on this past year.

Dr. Peter Rafael did my face and I am 100% happy his staff Catherine all the nurses and the anesthesiologist treated me with so much respect and love, I am 100% happy with the outcome of my beautiful new youthful looking face. He took 20 years off of me. My friends and family are mesmerized and you can’t tell that I’ve had a facelift because Dr. Peter Raphael hides the scars so well that you can’t tell but while looking at me, my face is tight beautiful and useful. I am so grateful to have had Dr. Peter Raphael as my surgeon. He demonstrated so much care and thoughtfulness when discussing what I wanted, asking questions about aspects of what I wanted that it never would have occurred to me to say anything about. Every interaction we had showed how much he wanted to make sure that this surgery would leave me with the body I wanted, the real me. It was incredibly affirming even before surgery. He was patient and reassuring when I voiced anxiety or asked questions. I felt affirmed and accommodated at every step of the process. Seeing myself in the mirror for the first time post-op was better than I could have imagined. I cannot recommend Dr. Peter Raphael strongly enough, especially to other non-binary folks. Dr. Raphael is amazing. He answers all your questions, has wonderful bedside manner, and his staff are warm and friendly. I certainly believe I'll be coming to him in the future for other procedures. I haven't yet had my procedure, it's in April, but thus far, everyone's been wonderful. Updated on 11 Apr 2023: Wonderful results. Staff was amazing from the consultation to the surgery itself to the post op appointments. I had a pleasant experience - great bedside manner, I felt affirmed and welcome, like I was family. Very accommodating to whatever surgical outcome you desire.

I work in surgery so I don't dare just pick out a surgeon based on what I see online. I make sure to always get recommendations from someone who has worked with them, seen their technique and their results. Dr Raphael came highly recommended by a friend that has worked with him. He did not disappoint. I have been very pleased with my decision to see him for what I wanted done.

Dr. Raphael is a talented and experienced star in this industry. A true artist--you're in excellent hands! He really sees what needs to be done and you'll always be elated with the results. He is a very warm and understanding person, so you'll feel at ease going into the procedure. He really cares about his craft and does an outstanding job. His staff are warm and caring as well.

I actually went in for Breast Augmentation, but decided to throw in a Rhinoplasty, I had seen several this Doc. had done, he came in pre surgery set at bedside and went over everything again, the entire staff were professional and kind, did not rush me. Updated on 2 Mar 2022: almost 2 months out.love it, when I finally put on make up it will be perfect feel, not too much, I dont think people who knows me will realize what I had done, which is exact what I wanted. Dr. Raphael is amazing! I had seen him years ago for breast implants after having children. His bedside manner is incredible and his staff was amazing. I went back to him several years later. (since I knew it was best to replace implants after a number of years) I really thought I needed a lift and he explained a procedure of liposuction and implant replacement that would be much better. I ended up choosing to do the mommy makeover with the implants the way he suggested and I was very happy with my results. Dr. Raphael chose this profession because he loves it and never once has he suggested a more expensive procedure. I truly feel he is very caring and does what is best for his patients. Talented, caring, great bedside manner, and true to his profession explains Dr. Raphael. I have referred several of my friends to him and they have all loved him as well.

I am a transman and was looking to have lipo on my hips, thighs, flanks, and stomach. I contacted over a dozen surgeons to make sure I had the right fit. I drove from Chicago to Plano to work with Dr. Raphael and it was worth every second of that long drive. He was kind and respectful and he did an amazing job. I would recommend him to anyone looking for lipo.
