Had Bleth Upper & Lower with Canthopexy. Still Have Bags. Into 11th Week. Whats Wrong?

Why do I look like I still have bags? 11th week after upper & lower bleph with canthopexy

A: Bleph Upper & Lower with Canthopexy

While there are many reasons to have bags after surgery, such as persistent swelling, or fat that was left behind it is hard to give an accurate opinion without looking at your photos. It would be helpful to see front, three quarter and side pictures of both eyes.

Rubbing Eyelid to Fix Botched Blepharoplasty?

6 weeks post blepharoplasty and one upper eyelid is higher than the other. My doctor says he may have removed a "tiny bit too much skin" from this lid. He says that if I rub the eyelid in a downward motion I can rectify the problem. This sounds like BS to me. Could this possibly work? The eye is noticeably wider than the other, and it feels dry during the day. I'm worried that more surgery will be required. Thanks.

At 6 wks you still have some swelling, as this resolves the lid should relax a bit. Since you did not submit pictures it is hard to comment, but if too much skin was taken and the difference is the two eyes is from this, as opposed to an asymmetry present and not noticed before surgery, massage will not help.

If you have a large gap, even when the swelling settles, it will not correct. If it is a mm or so difference, then once the swelling is corrected the issue should resolve.

Other options include steroid, or 5FU injections. Perhaps getting a second opinion would be helpful.

Eyelid Surgery to Correct Eye Bags Caused By Juvederm?

I Had Juvederm in Feb 2011. everything went fine as before except the nurse shot it to close to the eye, within five days I had a large bag under my left eye smaller under right I never had them before went back and she said not filler, but it looks just like everyone elses asking questions, I have an appointment for consult for upper and lower lid surgery, would that get it out and put my eye back, my upper lids appear swollen too help. just want to know if I have the eye lid surgery would that take care of it?

A: Eyelid Surgery to Correct Eye Bags Caused By Juvederm From your description eyelid surgery will not fix the problem. It sounds like Juvederm is too superficial on the skin, and the fat too be removed is in a deeper compartment, thus removing the fat will still leave the Juvederm where it sounds like it is. I agree with other posts, try Hyaluronudase. Best of luck Dr Siegel
